Kevin Williamson's 'The Following'

If y'all came into the show knowing the general concept and still expected full realism, you have only yourselves to blame.

...And why would that be? The idea that a man could form a cult following is not, by any means, out of the ordinary. I'm not saying I expected a completely realistic take, but after a while it just gets to be a bit much.

I liked the cult's recruiting tool: using the Net to reach potential thrill killers. It was a cool looking website, too. Fox should have created a mock website similar to the recruiting website for a viral. Though it appears that everyone can follow Joe.

Joe needs to recruit better, or Roderick needs to. The recruits with a military background or "constitutional extremists" just aren't getting the job done; however, it makes it easier when the one they after after (Claire) comes willingly.

But then the mayor of Chicago might ban the Internet.

Enjoyed tonights episode again, wasnt expecting the ending but after the initial shock I found it a bit silly, think there are too many Followers entering the equation now, but we'll see.

Nice to see some tension between Roderick and Joe, could see that boiling up, and also it looks like now Jacob has his first kill out of the way he has gone well and truly nuts, should be interesting to see.

Nice to see at least that someone in the cult actually has some lasting effect after murdering someone. So many of them show no remorse and I am not so sure it's realistic for that to happen. :(

Well, if anybody is known for their sympathy and respect for human life, it's serial killing cultists.

The show has lost it's mystery.

Is Joey just dumb or really doesn't understand the situation around him? I know people can be brainwashed, but jeez!

nah, some of them just ACT and behave like they are, but I NEVER underestimate what ANYONE, kid OR adult is capable of doing...

not THESE days especially...

Yeah, that's the only part of the show that bugs me. All of the stuff with the cult being one step ahead of everyone isn't realistic at all, but I can deal with that. It's part of the show's overall premise. But the kid, at his age, should be a little more aware that things are completely f***ed all around him. It might work if he was a little younger, but it's tough to believe that a kid that age could be so dense.

He's been shown to be weirded out by this **** before, and has been resourceful enough to almost make his way out a few times. What would you all have him do?

Also, Tyson's and Ryan's planning to fend off Roderick and his crew was bad. Nevermind the shortage of rounds, just keep firing rounds off in the darkness and not hitting anything. And no security system it appears. Maybe law enforcement does not care a whole lot about persons in protective custody.

And giving away his position by calling out for Ryan. I mean, you're f***ng house is under siege by militant Serial killers...you don't WANT them to know where you.

Claire has reached Andrea levels of hate at this point for me. She just is ******ed, plain and simple. "Oh I'll go with these guys because they will take me to Joey and never once will they just not take me directly to them. Ryan could t interrogate one of these guys back at the house after he has killed two, he's already killed countless members but he is incompetent." I just don't get it.

I reiterate...
I'm sure people will ***** about Claire's decision, but lets be honest... people are dropping bodies right and left, Joe's followers are coming at her from every angle and she's no closer to getting her son back than she was X amount of weeks ago. I'd probably give myself up too. :o

Joe's got women throwing themselves at him, he could just replace Claire. Any one of 'em seems to lose it right in front of him. He already had Emma.

Yes, but he does genuinely love Claire, or at least he claims to.

I just don't see her playing nice and living with all the other's in the X-Mansion there. Going to be awkward.

Haha, that's funny... it does remind me of the X-Mansion, only with serial killers instead of mutants.

You're dumb logic!!!! :argh:

:o
