The promos for this are getting really cool.

Was the first season good, I saw it is on Netflix

It has a ton of flaws but overall the concept is cool and the execution is pretty good, i really enjoyed it.

Good to watch, but not good enough to own, you ask me. :)

Just finished the first season. It was pretty good, hated the ending though

Those really are some creepy ass mask.

Who's the new female agent?

The actress is Valerie Cruz. I remember her most from the short lived Dresden Files series. Her character's a NYPD detective named Gina Mendez. She kind of looks like the agent from last season. :csad:

Poor buried alive agent Lady. :(

That's one reason why I hated the ending of last season. It's actually a complaint I have for the whole season. The good guys lose way too much, I understand you want to set up that these followers are serious business but the good guys lose way too much, made me stop caring after a while. The finale episode was awful, it was anticlimatic and then they tried for a shocking 24 esque ending and it fell flat on its face. It was a decent show that fell back on oh another follower will show up and help the bad guys cliche a bit too much and the ending just down right pissed me off but Kevin Bacon was really great especially when he was talking smack to the followers and the Black Prince was also decent but I got annoyed by him towards the end.

I lost interest in the season around the 7th or 8th episode. It just got a little too ridiculous. The amount of planning and ridiculous dumb luck that Joe had to pull off his plans made the outlandish/ridiculous pre-planning of The Joker from TDK, Silva from Bond, and Loki in the Avengers look like simple little endeavors. It just got to be too much for me and I didn't care anymore.

I also started losing faith in the show when I heard it had been approved for another season. This was a great concept, but it really would have worked best in a film or a mini-series. When you stretch it out (as they did) it just became ridiculous. Which was unfortunate, because it was such a cool idea.

Those Joe masks are creepy as hell.

I understand people's complaints about this show; the way Joe's plans were carried out was pretty absurd. I also think they could have given Joe a less obvious inspiration than Poe, or at least given him a number of famous authors that he could have used to inspire his crimes. Still, I really enjoyed the tension that the first season had. It does suck to see the good guys "lose" so much, but I applaud the show for not pulling any punches in that regard. Some shows have main characters who seem unkillable; I'm glad that pretty much everyone here is expendable except for Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy.

Will Joe Carroll have to rebuild his cult on The Following since he's been presumed dead for a year? — Megan
ADAM: The number of Joe's followers does seem to have dwindled as the new season begins, and those that do remain — including Valorie Curry's Emma — may be as shocked as anyone to learn that Joe's still alive. Interestingly enough, there seems to be a second group of crazies forming, and they could be the key to luring Joe out of hiding. And trust us, this new group's leader, who spends way too much time with his victims after he kills them, is even creepier than Joe. In fact, you could even say he's double trouble.

Well, that confirms that Joe is alive.

You aren't actually surprised are you? When something explodes, the bad guy is never dead. Not unless his pristine body shows up in the morgue without a doubt -- or in that case it's usually a twin or some dude who had surgery to LOOK like the guy. These shows are all predictable. :p Fun, but still predictable.

I'm surprised Joe is alive! I thought they confirmed a while ago that he died in the finale. Now I actually might have to watch this

So Connie Nielsen is there just to be offed in the subway train sequence? That's kind of a waste of a good actress...

I was skeptical about a second season but I have to say I like the look of what they are doing with Hardy, hopefully the plotting stays much tighter this season.

I've seen the first episode and really loved it. It picks up immediately from the last season and it doesn't take long for things to get pretty ****ed up again. There are a few interesting developments in this one that'll add some freshness to the series.

As I was watching the first episode, though, I kept thinking about "Scream 2" and the parallels between Sidney Prescott and Ryan Hardy.
