Joe's scenes were wonderful. Him practically orgasming when he offed the Reverend was creepy and delightful.

Joe DOES like doing the slow kill with a knife, doesn't he?... he did that to someone else last season, as well...

Hmm not really feeling this season yet. The twins are so insane, that one more than the other, that its almost too over the top. Thr quicker Joe gets back on top the better. And I have a feeling the blonde from the subway is part of the cult.

Man I hope they keep the surprise cultists down to a minimum

That one fbi agent that nearly got killed was stupid. And the only thing I would change this far is probably the new detective woman who seems to be a rip off of what's her name last season and the new blonde who seems like a ripoff of Claires character. Probably shouldve reversed though two castings.

The twin with the slicked back hair is channeling a bit of a Joker persona, I'm really digging his performance.

Also, I'm calling it now, the blonde art curator and Ryan's AA buddies are in the cult.

I hope not, but if they are, I want it to be something Ryan already suspects/is aware of, and he's just keeping his cards close to the chest to keep from scaring them away or forcing them into action.

Already called it.:cmad:

:p

Seriously, tho I'm glad I'm not alone in that thought. Something ain't right.

Count me in. Something is off with the curator Ryan is crushing on. If she survives a 3rd attempt on her life... :sus She may be a mother figure, if not their actual mother, to them. During their dinner table scene with the dead couple. They were far more interested in conversing with their "father." Later, Ryan hit a soft spot when he suggested maybe they were hoping Joe can fill that void in their life.

Interesting that Carlos kept the original followers out of the loop about Joe being alive. Emma will kill him for it before the blood thirsty french chick gets a chance to.

Creepy twins are creepy.

So Joe has been hiding in Bon Temps for a year?

Ha. Yeah, man! I thought the exact same thing when I saw that scene the other night. I laughed at it though. It was amusing. :woot:

That was my first thought the second I saw her. Doesn't help they kinda look-a-like a bit.

Well, the town's reverend was visiting the local prostitute and chatting up her redneck "brother".... so yeah, that actually sounds alot like True Blood. :o

Arlene ran off after Terry died and lost herself in prostitution and drugs. Her kids fell in with some Justin Bieber wanna be vampires and were arrested in Miami for drag racing and narcotics possessions.

It's hard not to be suspicious of people. Like Ryan's assistant. What about her? Just because she is family doesn't mean she isn't in on things, too.

Was Ryan's assistant introduced in the earlier part of the season opener? I think my DVR didn't record the entire thing because I didn't see that part but it was in the recap on this week's episode (same thing with Ryan at the hospital with Claire).

I had the same thing

Yeah, she is his niece I think. Something like that. :)

That wouldn't even be a good twist it'd be a screw you I'm done twist

Ah, that would explain why he is trusting her. I was wondering who on earth she is and why he would trust her when he's being (rightfully) so paranoid.

Just caught up on these two episodes.

My inner Max Payne fanboy spotted James McCaffrey (Max's voice and 3rd game actor) defend the lady in red before Ryan showed up. Glad he didn't go down without getting a good swing in.

I am wondering how Joe is going to immerse himself in all this again and how large in scope this season will be. Last year it bounced around from Richmond, VA to Upstate New York. I wonder if it's going to be set mostly in NYC.
