So with the trailer out and with scenes of young Logan clearly showing the house and the dead body next to him in 19th century clothes, does this mean that will get the James Howlett story? Instead of the leaked script with young Logan in the 50's. I sure hope so.

Me too. But if they do the James Howlett story it will be probably be just a small part.

Seems clear they're going with the story from ORIGIN. I hope it's a very, very small part of the movie - actually I want it to be non-existent but with how much time it got in the trailer I’m thinking at least ten minutes.

I heard it is alot of the ORIGIN story line with a little farther back to about 1830 and I didn't see DOG in the trailer so maybe they won't include young Sabretoothe because it would be hard to explain how Logan and Sabs knew eachother at childhood, then Sabs wanted to kill him and then when they grew up they were in the military and worked together...it doesn't seem probable.

I think it will most likely only have Thomas Logan kill Mr. Howlett and then little James claws come out and him kill Thomas Logan with no Dog.

Jackman already said Logan and Creed are brothers, which means Creed is Dog.

The Origin story is being done very true to the source material, except this time it actually confirms Sabretooth as Dog.

I loved Origin and so did Jackman, so I'm happy.

Troye Sivan as James

Aaron Jeffery as Thomas Logan

??? as Rose

??? as Dog Logan

??? as Henry Howlett

??? as Elizabeth Howlett

??? as John Howlett

Where was this said?

The guy Thomas Logan killed.

Then again, he may have been called John Howlett II...

For some reason, I got Henry in my brain.
Oh, you're definately wrong about Henry then :oldrazz:. As I recall John was James' father, Elisabeth was the mother, and there was another brother called John. I might be wrong about this but I don't think the Grandfather was named John as you suggested, or even given a name at all.

I got that issue of EMPIRE about a week ago. Unless it has different distribution dates in differnet countries (which is entirely possible since I'm pretty much ignorant as to how EMPIRE is sold throughout the world lol), it should be available to buy now.

Yea, the way it works here in LA is the January issue will be released at the very end of December.

You guys get it at the very end of November.

After all, it is a British magazine.

John "Old Man" Howlett = Grandfahter
John Howlett II = James' and John III's "father" and is killed by Thomas Logan
James Howlett = Wolverine. Kills Thomas Logan and is brother to John III

Thomas Logan: Having an affair with Elizabeth Howlett. Believed heavily that Thomas Logan is the biological father of both John III and James.

Dog Logan: Thomas Logan's son. If Thomas is James' father, then Dog and James are half brothers, and if Dog is Creed, Wolverine and Sabertooth are half brothers.

Think that covers it.

I don't think we'll see Rose. Just Thomas Logan, Dog Logan (AKA Sabertooth), John Howlett, Elizabeth Howlett and, obviously, James Howlett.

They will also make Wolverine older, because he's seen as a adult fighting in the Civil War in the trailer.

Having just finished Origin literally a moment ago and loving, I hope they include as much as possible from that story, especially the triggering of Wolverine's mutant powers, which I thought was excellently played out in the book.

BTW on a side, was there ever any follow up Origin by Jemas, Quesada, etc?

Don't think so.

I love the ending, with the fat guy burning Rose's diary.

That story alone would make a great film.

Its too bad we won't be seeing Wolverine's upbringing in the Canadian mines.

Then again, how will the movie explain where he got his nick-name?...

Silver Fox cant be responsible for giving him his nickname.

She's just a fake part of his life, this is confirmed in the trailers.

I didn't remember the book ever giving him that name, guess I was wrong.

There was WOLVERINE: THE END by Paul Jenkins, responsible for most of the writing duties on ORIGIN. It follows up on some of the plot points, particularly what happened with John, the brother.

I don't remember seeing anything about the civil war in the trailers.

Yeah, it would be nice to see some of his upbringing in the mines in the movies, but I doubt we'll get it. I wonder what Rose's diary would have said, its a shame we never got to know her final thoughts.

Awesome stuff, thanks.
