what's worse is the ******* who did this is claiming some sort of religious epiphany and that the story is actually heart warming. the man is sick to the core.

also he was originally sentenced to 50 years in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman then served only 5.

Actually he served 11 years in prison on kidnapping and rape charges in 1977. I think kidnapping and rape may have been treated differently years ago. For instance, Lawrence Singleton in 1978 kidnapped, raped and cut off the arms of a 15 year old girl and was sentenced to 14 years but paroled after 8. So if you think about it Garrido was technically treated unfairly in light of this case cause he got an extra 3 years and he didn't even mutilate his victim.

This guy was a know Sexual Predator too, which just proves why they should all be killed or (if that's "inhumane") get a life sentence with no probation. They almost always go back & rape/kill someone again.

Like with the Austrian case, this one has shaken many people to the core. All we can do is learn from it and hopefully more will be rescued.

The only thing that was learned from this is that the justice system failed miserably. Garrido has kidnapped and raped before and only served 10/11 years. How's that for justice?
