Kiss of Death Actors (According to Maxim)

[Iron Man]

Do they seriously cause movies to suck?
Are these actors really some of the worst in Hollywood?
Maxim seems to think so. What do you think?

Costner is possibley the worst leading man in hollywood imo, but I agree with the rest

Affleck you can also add good will hunting, Armageddon (admitt it it is an enjoyable flick), Smokin Aces, Dazed and Confused

Unfortunately he is currently directing, producing, and starring in a flick about a post-apocalyptic hero who plays baseball...with wolves and coast guards.

I'd have to agree with that list, with the exception of Nicole Kidman's 97-03 run & Kevin Costner's early to mid 90s actioners!

The rest of their movies and EVERYONE else on that list....

Maxim always comes out with terrible lists, just like the one that had Big Trouble in Little China as one of the worst movies ever. I'd say only two or three of those people actually have had a string of major failings at the box office and most of them have had enough good work to out way the bad.

well i can agree with like Kevin Constner if he is your leading man, your movie is in trouble, there is no buzz around his name any more, and he isn't that talanted, so its tough to make a campaign to get people to see it, with a guy who isn't that popular, and isn't that talanted

like i would think richard gere is more of a kiss of death than anyone on this list

Davis, Williams and Kidman all have Oscars. Costner was excellent in JFK. Affleck is not that bad. Maxim is good for hot chicks, but not much else.

How about truly unwatchable guys like Ashton Kutcher, Josh Lucas, Matthew McCoughnahey, Vin Diesel and many others.

And there's no such thing as a "Kiss of Death" actor. There are only actors who are put to bad use. For example, normally I would call Tara Reid a KoD. But then again, she was in The Big Lebowski. She didn't harm it because she was put to good use (as a ****ty trophy wife, a part she can easily play).

But all of the actors listed just made bad choices in the parts they played. That doesn't mean they aren't good actors. (Although I may agree with Chris Rock; his forte was always stand-up).

^^ i hate all those guys nasti. especially McCoughnahey, he pretends to be a serious actor but he blows. Kutcher, eh he tries to be a good actor(the guardian the butterfly affect). but he needs tomore practice in the acting department and needs to start doing some real movies or indie flicks.

he was great in "i think i love my wife". rock has potential to do some real good movies, sort of like adam sandler. comedian and dramatic actor. just need to fidn the right roles.
