Daniels wants nothing to do with Knight Rider....he even asked not to be credited on the last tv movie or any more tv dvd releases of the original series....
Hey guys, i was at a gm/buick/pontiac dealership yesterday picking up my buick from getting some repairs and i saw this car:
![]()
I was thinking this car would have made a great looking kitt. Tell me what you guys think about this car model.
well i guess if kitt will be in the series we are going to have to live with some imitator trying to sound like him or they can always say his voice thing got altered. Or maybe the producers shell out alot of money and daniels would probably do it.

Ummm no way in hell...
Daniels= Knight 2000
Will= Knight 3000
Two different memory chips, different voices, different personalities
I know it is two different kitts, i was saying in my post if they have kitt2000 appear more if it goes to series if they cant get daniels to come on the show they would either have to have an inimator to sound like him or as i said say kitt's voice module was damaged over the yrs and he sounds different.Daniels= Knight 2000
Will= Knight 3000

Ok for the last time...Knight Rider can't use the GM products...which why they are using Ford. Mr. Daniels did not want to come back for the voice of Kitt.
If you see the T-Top body it will be in flashbacks![]()
Why can't they use Gm products?
of course they can. They can't use new products, but they can use existing ones.
There are thousands of 1982 to 1992 transams available,
and Universal has officially authorised Rob Louisell to replicate Knight Rider parts, and there are many other replica parts makers out there.
They could easily buy 10 or 20 transams, fix them up with replica parts, and use them throughout a season of new episodes along with the new Ford Mustang.
I would love to see both cars on screen at the same time. Old & new.
Why not? Since this new show is a continuation and not a reboot, then we fans demand it.
The Knight 2000 transam wipes the floor with the mustang anyway in terms of looks and sleekness.
In fact, if they had the balls to show both cars on the screen side by side,
i think Ford would probably be embarrased by the fact that the older transam is a better looking car than the mustang ever will be.
Knight Rider has a thriving replica fan base, more than any other show has ever had.
Its time they took advantage of the fan base and gave us some of the Old KITT back.
KITT never got a proper goodbye when the show was cancelled in 1986.
Its time they brought KITT back for at least a few episodes if this new show goes to a series.
It would definitely help the ratings and help the new show on its way.
The fact of the matter is, that without appealing to some of the original fans, this new show will fail.
The best way to do that is take advantage of what made the original good, ie Hasselhoff, Daniels and the Transam, and give them some form of recognition in this new series.
Apparently, they have got Hasselhoff with a cameo, so thats a good starting point.
But most definitely, should the show go to a full series, they really should utilise the original KITT in some way. It can only benefit the new series.
and on another point. If they don't have some sort of hi tech dash like the Knight 2000 in this new car, it will be a disgrace!!
lets hope they have something in store for us.
We didn't wait 22 years for a bloody Momo Steering wheel.
If that's all they can "create" for us, then its a joke to be honest.

NBC can't use GM products because GM has a long standing deal with Viacom, who owns CBS, for advertising and product placement. Which is why you see a lot of gm cars in cbs shows.

as far as will arnett...outside of SNL, which I dont watch...and Arrested Development, which i've watched sparingly....the man has done a lot of voice over work.....for KITT..you need someone who has a lot of experience voice acting and he seems to sound ok....as far as the car...its ok looking and i think a tricked out Cobra is a good way to go.........
I imagine the TV movie will explain why he's not using Knight as his last name because having the series called 'Trace Rider' doesn't ring right.its not a remake.
this guy is michael's son.
and hes name is mike trace.thats why its ''hello mike''
t:hoff is in the tv movie/pilot. Also i read somewhere they left his role open if this goes to series and we could possibly see him appear in the show.
