So, dumb question I guess, but I guess the whole gameplay series means we'll finally get to see some real gameplay, right? I'm not familiar with this series or whatever it is

Yes. They did several of these for Red Dead and they essentially just talk in detail about the various gameplay systems they've implemented in the game.

They're sort of the antithesis of the flashy two minute trailer that doesn't really tell you anything about the game.

Looks brilliant IMO, I love the way you look through the notepad when questioning and interrogating, it's a neat way to set up the interface.

i'm still just totally blown away by the facial animation.

This game looks like it's going to be extremely deep and rewarding.

ok now Im 100% sold. Definite first day buy. Going to preorder

Wow. I mean really. Wow. Im sold. Thats it, thats all i needed to see. It looks perfect.

Rockstar is realizing that all they need to do to sell their game is show it. Looks great, and the facial animations are amazing.

Looks pretty cool. I hope it's open-world. The map hints that it is, but that doesn't mean much.

Looks amazing although I hope its more Red Dead and less GTA 4. I hated GTA 4 with a passion.

"Well, this isn’t really a sandbox game," Rockstar's Jeronimo Barrera tells The Telegraph. "You’re not going to go out and create your own gameplay. This is story-driven. The world is open for the player to explore and there are activities which may allow you to deviate from the straight and narrow – for example, on the way to a crime-scene you may get a call that a bank heist is in progress and you may want to head over there and stop it. You can explore the city and find LA landmarks and such.

"The city is a backdrop to the story and the crimes in the plot and the overall narrative arch, rather than a playground"

Everything looks amazing so far. I can't wait.

..I wish I was playing this and Arkham City right now. But both will be well worth the wait.

Why'd you hate GTA 4 so much?

This sounds great, I gotta reserve mine at Gamestop next time I go.

I just didn't like how it controlled. Just felt wrong to me, I understand they were going for the realism of how a car actually moves and how a person is moves but none of it felt right to me. Also didn't like Niko nor the story that much and I didn't like how the cops would kill you so easily. I can see how people would love the game and I get why it got such great reviews, I just did not like it.

That "wrong feeling" was accurate physics, a lot of gamers just arent used to that. They want to be able to take a 90 degree left turn while doing 60 mph in a busted up hooptee.

This game is probably going to feel a lot similar, altho itll be smoother, just as Redemption was smoother than GTA IV, but the way the cars handle, the fact it doesnt take many shots to kill you, will probably still be in effect, as they should be.

Its debatable though if the GTA series should be realistic. For something like Red Dead absolutely but you couldn't really go insane in GTA4 the way you could in previous games.

Well thats got the ludicrous insanity of the original GTA's, and then for a realistic experience you can play GTA IV

I can start up Vice City or San Andreas and have a blast but the Saint's Row games just don't do anything for me, I've never been able to put my finger on it.

I'm curious about the writing for this game...in Mafia II it was "Kill that f**kity f**k f**k with that f**king gun!!!" Totally took me out of the game...it was just horrible writing.
