Go to the Cases menu and select the Streets of L.A. option from each desk's folder. This gives you access to a non-case driven city where you can do all the side missions (related to the desk you choose), look for landmarks and find all the hidden stuff.

Listening to the Giantbombcast...the possibility of convicting the wrong suspect sounds really cool to me. That sounds cool.

And from what I hear, the over arching story comes together at the end, where the cases are linked in someway. Atleast, that's what I've heard. I'm hoping the WWII flashbacks payoff too, since the theme that "everyone's hiding something" would play into it as well with Cole being the straight arrow.

Im getting it tomorrow...I'll probably be the only one who complains that whilst playing,my PS3 blew up. But thats my luck.

Finally finished Homicide, which felt like forever. The last couple of cases were definitely exhilarating.

Getting my copy in the mail today! Any words of wisdom before I play it?

Yikes, some of you people are BEATING it already? I thought this was a 30-40 hour game...?

I actually heard it was more around 20-25 hours for the story.

If the next two desks are as long as Homicide though, I probably won't be done until tomorrow night at the earliest.

how can you guys handle playing for so long? lol I was exhausted at the end of the homicide desk.

Beat it yesterday.
They pulled a raiden on us with that switching characters all of a sudden.

I'm pretty sure I convicted the wrong man in the golden butterfly case.

Just finished Vice, and things are really starting to get interesting in terms of how I feel about Cole's character.

Just finished the first Homicide case, this game is incredible. All the investigation stuff just works so well, and the way things can differ between playthroughs seems interesting. I skipped an entire interrogation because I went to investigate something else first, and I just left the guy sweating in the room.

Finished Golden Butterfly and I feel like I got the right guy... Spoilers if you haven't beaten it I guess...

I chose Rooney as it just seemed TO obvious that the "husband" did it... also, it seemed like the initials were "sprayed" on if you will, not sewn in like normal initials are in overalls... more so during that time.

Plus Rooney was an absolute creep. He was evil to the core.

That ending was something, man. The whole marine revelation bit was well worth it, end credits too.

I just wish they explained more about the Phelps and Elsa relationship. He just cheats on his wife and that's it? I know he's supposed to be flawed, but c'mon.

Awesome experience, more please. God, I blew through this, only because I have too much free time right now. :awesome:

They have 2 full desks that they cut from the game (due to not being crazy and releasing a game on 6 DVDs and 2 Blu-rays), so I expect a lot of DLC which I can't wait for. The basic structure of this game is perfect for DLC too.

I'm midway through the arson cases, and I started to wonder how a game like this in modern time, with today's technology would be. I know the big draw was meant to be like the Noir films set in the 40's, but I think a detective styled game like this could do well.

I was thinking this too actually...I would buy it in a heart beat

Was i the only one who just discovered that real people show up in this game? I mean i knew they based a lot of these cases off real cases but i didnt know people who actually lived in this time were showing up in the game. When i first heard the name Mickey Cohen i was like holy s**t im playing through real history. IMO, that just bumped the game up a few points. I didnt think theyd have real life people show up in the game.

Also, does anyone know what Ad Vice originally stood for? I mean i know Vice cases deal with organized crime, but where did Ad Vice come from?

What were the desks? I knew one of them was burglary, but did they ever specify what the other two where?

Ah, okay. I still didn't know the Fraud one, though, so that's cool
