Lady Sif Casting Thread (Jaimie Alexander)

She apparently used to wrestle in high school and she's said that she's bulking up a bit for the role, so she's definitely not gonna be dainty in the film or anything. Personally, I think she looks great for Sif in those pics. She looks good enough to believe that she's one of the most beautiful goddesses in Asgard, yet she's not model-skinny like a lot of other hot actresses.

yea i am not worried at all for jaime in the role. Though i dont know how the sif character is myself. As for jaime i enjoyed her work on kyle xy and cant wait to see how she does in this film.

I'm hoping for a big overhaul of Sif's costume in the movie. Most of her comic ones have been either appallingly ugly or decent but boringly simple.

I'm not a huge Thor fan, but man some of those outfits are appalling. What the hell were they thinking?

The only Sif costumes I've liked are her initial silvery-white one, which is literally just all one color and way too plain for the big screen, and Coipel's spin on her red and white costume from a flashback in the current Thor series. 40 years of costumes for the character and those are the only two I find even remotely appealing.

Oh, another costume I liked was her costume as a teenager in Son of Asgard. I really liked how it was asymmetrical, for some reason.

If there are defining design elements to the character what would would you say they are? I've noticed red colour scheme seems to be used quite a bit and of coarse the wings.

She doesn't have anything that's been there throughout every costume iteration, but I guess the headdress with stylized wings and the red/white color scheme would be the most common parts of her costume. There's also a funky hexagonal design that was on her boots and belt for a lot of her costumes, but I personally find it kind of ugly.

Really does seem like an odd choice of design for a character, very hard to imagine any of those concepts working on screen in any capacity.

Her current costume is pretty simple and has a lot of fur. I think Sif looks good in fur.

Personally, I just hope she doesn't look too much like Xena.

According to her twitter account Sif just accidentally took out Fandral in rehearsals. Sounds like shes having fun

She hasn't really revealed anything. Only that they are in rehearsals and that she has met several of the actors

Yeah, she hasn't slipped any spoilers in or anything. We all knew she would eventually be rehearsing anyway.

Yeah, her tweets have all been along the lines of "I'm excited for rehearsals to start!", "I met Anthony Hopkins today!", "Chris Hemsworth's arms are huge!", or "I accidentally punched Stuart Townsend!". Nothing to get in trouble over and nothing even remotely spoilery
