Lady that was texting and fell in water fountain wants to sue

If she wins, I'm going to the mall tomorrow for the first time in 5 years and walking and texting.

She's not suing for falling into the fountain. She's suing because the folks working mall security put it on Youtube without her permission.

I guess she has grounds there, but it's still a frivolous waste of taxpayer money.

In Soviet Russia, fountain falls into you.

The entire time I read the article I was thinking about this.

I wish she had as hard a time getting out of that fountain as he had.

What an interviewer. "When did you know you had fallen?" Wow.

Such questions seem like standard procedure when talking to morons on cellphones.

Her reasoning for doing so is completely idiotic.

"I'm going to sue the people that released a blurry security video of my accident, thereby embarrassing me -- so let me go on national television and let millions of viewers see my entire face, exposing even more people to it and clarifying who exactly to laugh at"

I can't be the only person that sees the counter-productiveness of this lawsuit.

I thought the same thing.

Windows fun should use this for their promotions..."the phone to save you from your phone"....

"I could have been hit by a bus, I could have been hit by a car".

In a mall? Not likely dumbass.

You did something dumb, deal with it.

If she gets rich there is no ****ing justice in the world.

people sue for anything now

that lady is stupid. common sense tells you to ALWAYS watch where you are going. and she was crying that no one came to her aid, well boo-f***ing-hoo!! she seemed to get up with no problem at all, and to top it all off judging from the video there wasn't that many people around to notice she had fallen in to even offer help

I hope she does it again the next time she's in a mall. Double-win.

I see girls like that all over campus. They wonder why there's high cases of rape over there. If they'd pay attention then guys wouldn't sneek up on them. I saved a girl from that one night over there too.
I'd say that people should stop raping before I'd say people should stop texting when walking.

People should just push her in mall fountains from now on when they see her at the mall,

The rapes occur at night. So walking around in isolated and dark areas while texting is pretty stupid. They're also listening to their MP3 players to. If they are aware of their surroundings then people wouldn't be able to sneak up on them and they can get away.

This is a great story. Not only did it entertain me on principle, but it also reminded me of the time Homer walked into the fountain at the mall, got trapped by the various water jets, and said "Don't laugh at me...I was once like you".
