bloodborne. Man, do I love this game.
By the last boss? That one is an a-h.Got my ass handed to me in KOFXIII.
GTA Online ... I'm convinced its the only game you'll ever need
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
The first couple of stages for games in this genre are usually the least interesting, things get better when it comes to gameplay starting with the third mission, this game is no exception.
I'm enjoying it so far, and the ice boss battle reminds me of a boss fight from Shadow of the Colossus (I did not play that game, saw one of my cousins playing the mission I recalled).
I played the second before playing the first, and thought of it being a strange game.LoS really gets better the longer you play. Unfortunately LoS2 kind of dropped the ball in a lot of ways, but the first is a very good example of how to do a hack n slash well.

That said, I didn't enjoy it less when it comes to gameplay.
I might change my view after later replays.Yeah, strange is a good way to describe it.
I think you may change your mind as you get past the halfway or three quarter mark of LoS in terms of being more enjoyable as the access to different powers ramps up and the level design steps up quite a bit too, but I may be wrong.
I think the main reason LoS2 seemed so off-center was LoS1 started so strong and people expected the same kind of innovation and thoughtfulness to be applied to LoS2 but it turned out to be a bit of a melting pot of odd features that didn't quite seem to build on LoS1's momentum. It just seemed like a missed opportunity, enjoyable game, but could've maybe been so much more.
Gears of War has a parachute? Full view of the character? Bow and Arrows? Forest? Ship and crew of Archaeologists and company?I thought I was playing the Tomb Raider reboot, but it might have been Gears of War. Hard to tell.
