Clearance from WB?.....
I know Batman will NEVER do Spider-man/HP numbers, since it's not as commercial and has a narrower audience, but the film has a good shot at $250M US gross (maybe even $300). The fact is that after SR, WB is scared about their comic-based properties (hence all this quick firing and hiring). A script leak of TDK would be a way for them to reassure their core fanbase, and calm nerves.
Not really. For BB, all sites mentioned a cool 'Batmbile chase' - nothing about context, length, when in the movie, etc. If there's a mention of 3 set pieces, that's NOT a spoiler - almost all blockbusters have 3-4 action set pieces.
Hopefully they're finally able to publish something on it.
Did WB actually *stop* them before? I remember that it was widely suspected that was the case.
I don't think it's the IJ4 script. If there's any script right now being guarded more than TDK, it's Indy 4. I'l bet they ARE talking about TDK.
I strongly think so Miranda.

I wouldn't get too excited, there are plenty of sequels this could be. I think it might be Indy IV, as it's script has been more "finalized" than TDK's for about a year. TDK didnt even have a script a year ago...
Batman Begins
Back in 2002 Chris Nolan asked me if I would be interested in working on the definitive Batman film with him. At the time, the Batman franchise had completely jumped the shark. Chris' wanted to make a grounded film that depicted Batman's origin a story that hadn't even fully been told in comicbook form. The closest the comics came to an origin story was Frank Miller's Batman: Year One. But even that story skipped the critical phase in Bruce Wayne's development when he learned the skills he would ultimately need to become Batman.
Because this was an origin story, Chris and I decided that Bruce would need some kind of mentor. In a perfect world, we wanted that mentor to become a paternal figure someone who could ultimately betray Bruce. We also wanted to use a villain that had not previously been depicted in film. I suggested Ra's Al Ghul, the megalomaniacal eco-terrorist that writer Denny O'Neil had created during his 70s run on the Batman comics. Ra's was more grounded than the rest of Batman's rogues gallery and he had some nice similarities to real-world boogeymen like Osama Bin Laden. Chris liked the idea and we were off and running.
Aside from Batman: Year One and the 70s O'Neil issues, Chris and I also drew inspiration from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's wonderful Batman gangster-noir maxi-series The Long Halloween. We mixed those three primary resources together, threw in a healthy dose of our own ideas, and eventually came up with the finished film. Batman Begins was one of those rare movies that is both a commercial and critical success.
Some time after Begins premiered, Chris rang me again about doing the sequel. Because I was about to direct a film of my own, I didn't have time to write the entire screenplay. We compromised with a 30-page treatment that Chris and I worked out over the course of a few months. At that point, the treatment was handed over to Chris' brother Jonah (the co-writer of The Prestige). From start to finish, both film experiences were among the best I've ever had.
Just because the WB is in disarray, doesn't mean they think that fans of Batman are too. There is nothing to suggest that, because of Superman and other dissapointments, that things won't be highly profitable for TDK.

I SERIOUSLY wouldn't get ur hopes up guys. I chatted to the guy at Latino Review about three weeks ago after getting my hands on the New Halloween script and decided to try and trade it for the Dark Knight. He told me that he doesn't have it and is having serious difficulty getting it as it's under lock and key and that was only three or so weeks ago.
Although Here's hoping *squeezes hope*
He could be messing with you, man. Nobody in his right mind would trade the TDK script for the Halloween one...t:
Lol never thought there was a chance in hell he would either, but figured **** it, might as well try. But it was like the third email he told me that and had no real reason to tell me that much detail *shrug*
I'm hoping more than anyone it's 'The Dark Knight' and yes the Halloween script is an awful bloody disaster.
Oh god the halloween script is down right terrible.
ms. myers tells her boyfriend to "ride an old womans tities and setp on them" if i recall correctly.
I DO think he is refering to the dark knight. Or its Indiana JOnes, eithe rway itll kick ass to have it.
But I DO also think it will not reveal much. itll probably say whose in, and what the foundation but itll defiently not say the actual plot or who lives n dies. itll hopefully mention how big of a role rachel has and possibly a car chase or something.
