In the event that Snyder chooses to include one or more flashback scenes featuring Bruce Wayne's parents in BvS, whom would you cast in the roles of Thomas and Martha?

Sela Ward has always been my ideal choice for Martha Wayne. At age 58, she might not be the best fit for the character anymore, though.

As for Thomas Wayne, the only actor I can really envision as the good doctor is Tom Selleck. Like Ward, he's no spring chicken, but I suppose that's something the visual effects and make-up department can work together on so as to ameliorate the appearance of aged skin and such.

She even has the trademark Martha Wayne pearls! :argh:

Casey Affleck if you want someone who looks related to Batfleck. :p

Will Martha even have any lines this time around? That used to bug the hell out of me in the Nolanverse.

His younger brother should play his dad??

:woo

I was only half-kidding. But he'd be the father of an 8-10 year old Bruce Wayne you know. ;)

More seriously, Josh Brolin could work.

Yeah, she was portrayed like a Stepford wife in BB. I never liked that. :csad:

I've always pictured the Waynes having a classic aristocratic aura, almost like they're not from this era. I think it adds something to the searing recollection of their demise for Bruce to remember the Waynes in a dream-like, idyllic quality. It's sort of like the movie of his life is really two parts: Before and After the death of his parents. The Before being glossy and silver-screen-esque to the point where the audience wonders if his starved emotions are embellishing and the After being The Batman (first in thought, then in preparation, and finally in life).

So, to fit in with such a vision, I'd pick Elizabeth Reaser for Martha, who can appear quintessentially mom-like, but also glamorous.

For Thomas, I'd pick Patrick Dempsey. His looks are equal parts warm and distinguished:

has he been cast? which worthwhile outlet is reporting this?

He and Ben have similar builds and I think Morgan is a pretty good actor. I like this if true.

JDM is a great choice. That would be cool

It looks like James Franco under heavy makeup.
