The Dark Knight Ledger: Joker darker more sinister

Darker and more sinister?

Right up my alley.

Yes some of Alex's traits could do well to ledger's joker. Specially the more sadistic aspects although joker already has them. Joker ultraviolence lol:joker:

More Clockwork Orange-like? Does that mean Joker is gonna pummel someone to death with a giant oversized *****? Hell yes.

Thanks for the news, Retroman.
And it is indeed great news.
Coincidentally, I had posted this manip that I found online, I don't know who did it, but now comes very handy.
lol!

That Clockwork Orange reference made me squeal like a girl. Ledger definitely knows what he's talking about in terms of a sick sadistic Joker.

Thanks for the new Retroman

I'm a HUGH Macolm McDowell Fan (If it was the early '70s, and they was making a Batman movie, he would be great for the Joker) but I was somewhat disapointed in 'A Clockwork Orange'. Although I'm a fan of Stanley Kubrick work.

I think the thing with me is, I saw ACO after years and years of hearing how great it was from friends and even some teachers when I was in college and then I finally saw it and was very underwhelmed, although I know the history behind it as well as the controversy when it first came out in '71 (it was banned from theatres in a lot of countries, and only recently re-issued on tape/DVD in England after Kubrick's death)

However if the Joker is going to patterned after the character of Alex, then that will be interested to see this on screen. becasue Alex was very devious in his bout of the old 'Ultra Violence in a very sadistic manner (see the scene with the old couple in ACO). And that could play off quite well in Nolan's style of directing the Joker's antics.
A fun little curiosity... When ACO was originally released in Brazil (I`m not sure in which form, if at theaters, VHS, whatever), they used black dots to cover the nudity...

LOL!

Someone should manip this to be Joker (with Ledger's face) and his henchmen.

Nice find Retro, Ledger's Joker is going to be amazing to watch.

Every time I hear them describe The Joker in TDK, it gets me more pumped to see him.

Cant wait to see the Joker induldge in a bit of the ol' ultraviolence.

Man, if only Malcolm McDowell was younger. He would make a great Joker. Anyway, good article. Ledger seems like a good choice after all.

It should be interesting to see how they pull off a PG-13 "A Clockwork Orange" feel for the movie.

Oh, and it's great to finally hear word from Ledger on his casting. Looking forward to future interviews.

Still havent seen Clockwork Orange:( and I call myself a movie watcher. Good Find Retroman:up:

I thought the same thing. He and Ledger almost got the same Deviant mischievious look about them.

However..... if we was going to go in the time machine and find a younger actor to be the pefect joker...it'll still be JACK !

One of the best news!!!

Ledger knows about Joker enough as I think. The most important thing is that he understands this character and that is why I have been trusting him since that day, when LR confirmed Ledger.

I can't wait to see 1st pic of him in make-up.

BTW, I loved Clockwork Orange

It's going to be more nuanced and dark and more along the lines of a Clockwork Orange kind of feel.

there's been some very large talk behind my sleeping back oh my brothers.

this is the best news ever.

i cant wait till the batman production returns to chicago next year!

Sigh, this is gonna be too great. :(

Those are just fantastic quotes.

First: http://www.batman-on-film.com/batmovienews.html Can Jett stop taking it up the ass, please:o

Second: I like these comments quite a bit on the ACO side and all sides, I might have sex with them, but I'm still cautious. Not with Heath I think he'll do a fine job regardless of how Joker is portrayed. And with anyone who has a problem with me still being cautious. Well....same to you.
