The Dark Knight Ledger's 'possible' nomination clip...

Which Joker scene should be played in a possible posthumous nomination for Ledger?

  • The "Why So Serious" speech...

  • Arriving at the party and threatening the guests...

  • Walking around Rachel/Scarred wife story...

  • Interrogation scene: "They're only as good as the world allows them to be"...

  • Sitting in the interrogation room floor: "You can't savour all the... little emotions."...

  • The "This City deserves a better class of criminal" scene...

  • Conversation with Dent: "You know the thing about chaos... it's fair."...

  • His final speech while he's hanging up: "Madness, as you know, is like gravity..."

  • Other...

Heath was amazing in every scene, but acording to the poll (in which I voted the same!) The interrogation scene, with the whole "They're only as good as the world allows them to be, looks to be a sure winner!

Which scene is the one where he says, "I'm like a dog chasing a car. I wouldn't know what to do with it if I got it."

Or words to that effect.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

The "Why so serious" speech or the interrogation scene, since those are my favorites :woot:

The interrogation scene seems to be everyone's favourite (mine are all Joker scenes )

Well to tell u the truth, while i watch the movie i'm just looking forward to the Joker scenes at this point :hehe:

"You have nothing. Nothing to threaten me with... nothing to do with all your strength!"

I would go with the Interrogation scene or the scene with him and rachel, sharing his second scar story.

It doesn´t matter... As long as they say: And the winner is... Heath Ledger for The Dark Knight!

If It has to be one the show for the program I thnk it will be the interrogation scene. :yay:

Although I hope they start with the part where he's talking to Gordan and it's pitch black in the background with the one desk light and his white face with the make-up running ("Evening Commisioner") and ends when Batman slames his head onthe table and he says: " Never starts with the head...it leaves the vitcim all...dizzy".

either the interrogation or his "you and i are destined to do this forever" speech to bats

I'm going to go against the consensus and vote for the scarred story he tells Rachel. I just love that sequence with the camera spinning around them, while Joker's clutching her face with a knife at it.

"So I stick a razor in my mouth and do this to myself. And you know what? SHE CAN'T STAND THE SIGHT OF ME!!!!! She leaves. Now I see the funny side. Now I'm always smiling".

I think when the time gets closer, we all, Ledger's fans and Batfans, need to pool the funds and take out our own full page ad in Variety.

My vote is for the Rachel Scars Wife Story scene. He really got emotional during that one, which makes me think if any story we heard is true, it might be that one. Not that I think it's true, but... *shrug* it was the most emotional I think.

I think the scene thats going to give him a nom is the mob meeting. The pencil trick alone is oscar worthy.

You and I are on the same mindset. Thats one of my favorite scenes.

The question is, how long usually is a clip? 20 seconds? 15 seconds? From my recollection, the clips they show for each actor is not very long, so we have to choose something that fits the timeframe, which is probably 10-15 seconds. Someone should go check youtube if there's any video of past nomination clip, to check the duration.

i think either of the two scar stories would have the most impact for oscar viewers, although i can see them going with the first part of his interrogation with batman too.

I voted for interrogation scene aswell

When are the nominations for the oscars announced?????

interrogation scene
"You have nothing to threaten me with..."

I voted for the you can't savor the little emotions. The clip will probably end with the "would you like to know which ones were cowards?"

And I really hope that he'll get a best actor nod and not just a best supporting actor nod. The Joker in the Dark Knight had much more to do and screentime than Vito Corleone in the Godfather or Hannibal in Silence of the Lambs, and those 2 guys won the best actor award.

They should just show four different joker clips instead of doing each nominee's clip. But if I had to just pick ONE...

The mob bosses would be great. But I'm going to go with the "deserves a better class of criminal" scene. That or the hospital.

as great as the pencil trick was, it might be a tad too violent to show.

interrogation it is.
