Lee Bermejo and Brian Azzarello's Joker Graphic Novel

If someone could give me the retail price of this book that would be wonderful. Thank you.

Ahhh yea I see what you are saying. I liked it when him and Jonny Jonny were talking in the car before the meeting. "He's out there, you know that Jonny? Right on the other side of this window, watching me." It makes Batman mythical, like he is supposed to be.

But Captain Clown had this theory, that Batman and Gordon actually had Joker released to do their dirty work. I think that is a plausible idea. People say that is out of character of Batman and they are right. But this isn't a in canon comic is it? Maybe in this universe Batman would allow something like that. And if you check the page where Joker is released look at Arkham just as he sticks his middle finger up, Batman is perched on top of a gargoyle just as the lighting strikes, and then he vanishes. Maybe he was there watching over Jokers release, which he organised.

Yea i saw when u guys brought that up, and it actually seems like the only plausible theory. Though Batman couldn't really run the affairs of Arkham, i'm sure Gordon could have a lot of sway.

hmm that IS an interesting theory from the heretic CC.

the release must have been kept mysterious precisely so we could fill the blanks ourselves, obviously, but I was surprised there wasn't more hinting that Harlequin might be involved. i mean it's the first thing you'd conclude right, they should have left a crumb behind to let us believe that it might be her that connived him out. But no instead they reveal her to be an addled junkie and all so I kind of have to doubt it. Her pose right after she's been snortin those rails is SO perfect though, have to credit Lee on that one

I just completed reading the GN and freakin' loved it, but I have to say I kind of wished that Bermejo had inked the whole thing. Dont get me wrong, the stuff inked by the other guy was great too, but the Bermejo inked stuff was the high point of the book.

I see what your saying. But all the inking was done by Bermejo, he's just used two different techniques. There is a interview somewhere where he says the more traditional painting looking ones were to make you focus on them longer. Something like that.

Where did you get this from? he's credited with inking 19 pages and Mick Gray is credited with the rest. It's obvious too when reading it which ones he did ink himself. I also agree that he should've inked the whole book.

There was a interview with Bermejo about the two different styles used. I can't find it now, but he talks about the sharper inked pages and the more traditional painting looking ones. I just presumed he did both styles.

I like that title.

The sharply inked panels are horrid. Decent for just some random comic, but far from what I expect from something with Bermejo's name attached.

That is awesome!!

I need to invest in a scanner, I've done loads of drawings of the Joker.

Seems like DFA and myself are the only ones who've done a Bermejo Joker costume...

I have to show mine off, too. :oldrazz:
