Lee Bermejo and Brian Azzarello's Joker Graphic Novel

Thanks, Ace! I wish the photos showed the depth of my scars better, though. I used a ton of rigid collodion and liquid latex, but it turned out so subtle that it's hard to tell.

I really loved the concept of Joker threating Harvey by killing only "one" of them; gives more depth into his duality crisis. Genius. :wow:

THIS IS SWEET!

a great interpretation...

it just looks like it'd belong in a Batman movie!

Im feeling very meh about it after reading.
dunno why just feeling like it dident do anything new and the diffrent stuff dident seem that great lol
may need to give it a re-read

You're WRONG!!!! Your opinion doesn't matter!! You are not entitled to an opinion!!!

:hehe:

Well you could say what was wrong with it and we might englighten you or show more views or something. :P

I think it is like Citizen Kane in the sense that its hype seems to put a certain mindset and expectation into certain readers heads before they read it. Another is also to dismiss specific knowledge about the characters just keep general knowledge in mind. Then again some people just don't like it.

The fact that i found it boring! im a big bat comic nut, and i went in knowing this wasnt the normal DCU Joker so i dident expect it, i just found the writing to be very un-interesting ,while there were some bits that were entertaining, i thought there was far too much stuff that just dident live up to what some people said, mostly from peeps that were looking for a tdk spinoff from the middle of the thread lol

Im not dissing your book guys so dont get all moany and argue points on this and that..lol everyone has there opionen and this is just one of mine:woot:

I did, which is why i was surprised i did not enjoy this book, i love anythign Batma nrealted thats abit more mean, gritty and mob related.
TBH i think i need to sit down and read it slower,i finished it within 40mins-1hr.

I think I go into a Bermejo book for the art more than anything else.

Speaking of.. I was thinking of looking for Superman/Gen 13. Is it good?

i would like to cast my vote of indifference towards this book. read it, it was ok, moved on

I think this book gets better with each read for some reason. For me it started out just good, but now i think its my favorite Joker-focused GN

I Agree. I think this has to do with the sheer SHOCK value of the story and art the first time around. I don't think anyone expected it to be so... I'll leave it with "in your face". But, with each subsequent read, you can take your time to soak in and actually enjoy it.

Hey, is someone on here doing the wiki article on this GN? Cuz whoever's doing it is just putting in stuff that's plain wrong. I try to edit it but they keep changing it back (saying things like this joker carves smiles on people or only cares about Gotham's wealth or doesen't like fighting Batman)

Dude, it's Wiki, you're going to expect things like that to happen.

Whoever is doing it obviously didn't read the book or they are just trying to abuse it.

Wow, it is like they just looked at the pictures. Those are like 3 things that are definitely not in the book at all.
If anything I think Joker was trying really hard to get Batman's immediate attention.

Yea he didn't care about the money or the territory. That was all just a smoke screen. I reckon his whole motive was just to get Batman to come out and play, so to speak.

Well, i do think he liked the power. The wealth/turf were immaterial though.

His goals were just to be feared/respected again and to "play" with Batman like you said.
