Leonardo DiCaprio gets revenge in The Revenant

I get Grizzly Man thoughts when I think of that.

The first trailer was visually and viscerally mesmerizing, this one dug a bit more into the guts of the two main characters, the film looks intense and incredible.

The son is an invention. Inarritu added him in later drafts of the script because in the first draft he didn't feel Glass had strong enough motivation for his quest for vengeance.

I thought the son thing was part of the book, but done in a more vague way.

Man this movie. As horrible as the making of it sounds it just looks other-worldly. There's a purity to it. The imagery, the soundscape. The trailers alone have dug into my core. This will be an intense experience in the theater.

Gorgeous trailer. I can't wait to see this movie.

May be DiCaprio vs Fassbender come March.

Or, poor Leo gets nominated again, and loses again... And Hardy wins his first Oscar off his (I believe it would be his first) nomination.

Leo!!

That new trailer is amazeballs. This looks terrific

I kind of hope there will be more to Hardy's character than being the villain that everyone loves to hate. Looks like he'll be pretty one-note from the trailer. But God damn I didn't recognize his voice when he started talking. Leo on the other hand....:o Poor guy can't change his look or his voice for the life of him.

hahahhahaha.......... This is insane....:woot:

Leo!!

But then Depp wins his first Oscar which also happens to be his comeback. :funny:

Leo's timing is just impeccable.

I don't care if this movie is good or bad, the cinematography is gorgeous and that's reason enough for me to check this out. Luckily, the movie itself looks really ****ing great too. Can't wait.

The Inarritu/DiCaprio/Hardy/Luzbeski combo is enough to get buzz going.

I do think this trailer was a little spoiler heavy.
I agree, I liked that I didn't know *exactly* what the movie was about from the first trailer. I've got the gist of just about how everything will play out from start to finish. I'm sure it'll take some turns here and there but I think it was too spoilery. I should make a rule to only watch Trailer 1's of movies from now on :funny:. Trailer 2's and 3's is where we get heavy into spoiler territory :hehe:

That bear was like, "**** 'yo bullets, *****."

The bear thought Leo resembled Jackman from The Wolverine. The poor beast couldn't help his erupting rage propelled by his ptsd.

After the scene was over, the bear went over to props and was like, "in rehearsal, you said we were using blanks. Blanks! Jesus Mary and Joseph, quit checking your ****ing Twitter and do your ****ing job! Christ, got ****ing kids doing the jobs around here!"

Bear has been getting so much buzz from his trailer.

Could it propel him to an Oscar nod?

Maybe slightly off-topic, but Tom Hardy basically takes a dump on directors:

“A writer comes with nothing and he writes something down and there’s a story. Then a bunch of actors come along, and people can watch that. Then a third person comes along and says, ‘I really love what you guys are doing. And if you’d just do it the way I see it, we’d really be onto something.’ And there’s part of me that goes: ‘Why are you here?’ A director who hasn’t written something, and they say, ‘Trust me.’ And I’m like, ‘With what, mate?’”

I don't see it as taking a dump, more like raising questions about a director's job. Because he has a point. Director's don't really create from the germ of the thing. They see the idea and have their vision and execute it. I know they do much more than that but I just see where he's coming from.
