Hahahaha my roomate fist fought a guy outside of Batman Begins because the guy was talking to his toolbox friends throughout the whole film. They exchanged brief words in the theatre and then outside, my roomate (total Irish musclead Boston native) confronted him. The guy mouthed off again, calling my roomies bluff to look cool in front his Pink Polo wearing buddies. My roomate ripped his a$$hole in half.

That must have hurt.

I can ignore it completely, in fact, the only time I was ever distracted from watching a movie was from somebody trying to tell me to shut up. Boy, was that guy pissed when I replied, "Leave me alone, I'm trying to watch."

I'm still surprised that I seem to be the only one who can ignore it.

I'd MUCH rather watch a movie with "geeks" than people who outright ruin the movie, like rude teenagers.

One of the funniest experiences was the first time I watched Transformers, opening night. It was my friend, his wife, my wife and I... and we were sitting in a fairly decent spot. My friend points out this guy to my left... he is there with his girlfriend. Maybe about 40 years old, really skinny, really dirty and he looks like he is about to jump out of his skin with excitement...

Peter Cullen's voice starts the narration at the beginning of the movie... this guy jumps up and starts fistpumping like Cuh-RAYzee! "YEAH, YUUAAAAAHHHHUUUHH, THAT'S OPTIMUS!!"

And the thing is, the theater actually responded positively. Wasn't too bad a time IMO.

The only annoying part was this guy behind me who kept hacking his phlegm during the entire movie. And he snorted when he laughed. I wanted to do two things... first punch him and then refer him to a good ear, nose and throat specialist.

During our viewing of Transformers, while we were waiting for the previews to start, there was a guy in the back who was drunk off his ass. And he'd loudly say stuff like "Yeah! Gonna watch Transformers." "Optimus Prime!" And other stuff because he was randomly talking loudly. Everyone in the audience was just rolling their eyes thinking we're gonna have to put up with this guy.

But someone must have complained because management escorted him out. Dude must have been in his 40's, dirty, and the woman with him looked embarrassed or drunk (couldn't tell which). When he was gone, the audience applauded.

The people where I live shut up and watch the movie after the previews. If someone talks, someone else tends to quickly put them in their place.

I have never, I repeat never, seen or heard a cell phone during the film.

If I want nothing but quiet and entertainment, I'll rent a movie at home. In all seriousness, when you go to something like FRIDAY THE 13TH, you should expect talking and reactions from the audience. It's silly to expect otherwise with a movie like that.

But I'm not above loudly stating something like "SHUT UP. OTHER PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO ENJOY THE MOVIE, YOU IMMATURE *****E" or something along those lines. I'm also not above enjoying watching as ushers come in with flashlights to look for the jackass who wouldn't shut up for ten minutes straight, and then watch other people point that person out.

Ah, movies.

Also, Optimus' first transformation....all 2 minutes of it almost made me pee my pants.
