I'd say The original Avengers with spidey.

I'm rooting for Sam "Mutha *****in'" Jackson as Nick Fury.

Savage said:Eh. I prefer the whole ensemble thing. Just adapt their first story. Loki manipulating the Hulk and all of that. Ant-Man/Giant-Man and Wasp can be responsible for even bringing the team together by first going to Iron Man. Borrow from the Ultimates with Iron Man finding Cap so it doesn't seem like such a coincidence that they find him when they're forming a team. Thor comes in because he senses Loki's involvement and it goes from there. It's better than "We'll pay all of you to fight these guys".
I like Loki's involvement because it gives Thor a reason to be there. Even in the Ultimate universe it was pretty much to help his little environmental campaign. 616 Thor (which is the one I hope is used) couldn't care less about that stuff. I'd like to see Thor's battle with Loki reach earth and that be his reason for being there and teaming up with these guys.GL1 said:Perhaps so... as long as the movie is set in the present day and realistic to the point where I can say "If this science was possible, these people could, even WOULD exist as I see them here" then it's all good.
I'm against using Loki... I actually don't like "Ultimates 2" because of Loki's involvement. I think he's a Thor villain and it should stay that way. I'm much more for Pym accidentally creating Ultron and then Banner accidentally creating Hulk and then all their mistakes actually prepare them for the incoming Skrull or Kree invasion.
And another think I demand from an "Avengers" movie: Why "The Avengers?" It made sense in the midst of war, but unless they're going into the middle east to beat down terrorist butt, calling them "The Avengers" is pretty silly... as they're not avenging anything, at least not anything important. This is one place where just "That's how it is in the comics" just won't do.
Iceburgeruk said:I personally would rather the avengers movie leant more towards the original avengers than the ultimates. I want to see an avanegers film which has actual super-HEROES. The ultimates are cool and they kick ass BUT at this point they are not HEROES. A hero only kills when neccesary, if marvel captain america is fighting zemo he tries to knock him out so he can hand him over to the police. Ok he might get out but you have to take that risk. Otherwise why not kill muggers, they will only get out of prison later to do it again. I want to see at least one more film like daredevil where the hero holds back from killing the villain thereby showing he is better than the villain.
Iceburgeruk said:Thats why they don`t want to have a 616 - ultimates crossover. The 616 guys would take one glance around and arrest the ultimates for all their crimes against the impoverished masses of ultimatesworld.

Again, they dont' make comics like that anymore,
Spider - Man said:You say that like it's a GOOD thing. As a long-time comic reader, you don't know what I'd give to go back to 4 color pulp paper comics with "Still only (insert price here - less than a buck, that's for sure!) with people like Stan, and Roy, and Marv, and Gerry, and Len writing the corny dialogue!
Newsflash: comics aren't SUPPOSED to be real. A guy climbing a wall like a spider is realistic? A guy who turns green and grow 3 times his size when he gets angry is realistic? It's fantasy!
I liked the first Ultimates run ok, the second not so much! We can have heroes with feet of clay without them being *******s. And the 616 A team has a much deeper history to draw from.
You're probably right. Fantastic Four was EXACTLY like that but people said it sucked. Quite frankly it's one of my favorite Marvel flicks. I'd love for an Avengers movie treated like that. Like a spectacle of sorts._N0IR_ said:Personally I believe alot of people here might favor serious storys and dialogue as opposed to corny cheeky funtime stuf..
