Endgame Lets Talk Avengers 4 and what we know #Spoilers?

Thor in War of the Realms.
Coincidence? I think not.

It would fascinate me to no end if this movie ends up being ‘The Last Jedi’ or ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ of the MCU and be this highly anticipated film that’s very polarizing for the fans.

I’m curious to see the MCU version of that.

The last Jedi is really really really divisive, TDKR is nothing so divisive.
Btw TFA is more and more anticipated than TLJ

Yes, I agree. Nebula deserves a big story beat after the last movie. Both movies are about Thanos and his family and Tony Stark and his family (real and surrogate) and I don't think I'll feel satisfied if Nebula doesn't play an important role.

The characters I most want to see do something, anything, are Vision and the Scarlet Witch (none of the leaks have mentioned either of them, and I don't know if that's good or bad), and I don't relish the idea of having to wait another 18-24 months to see them on their limited series; after what happened in the last movie they deserve some story beats, but I fear there won't be time, given how overcrowded the last third is likely to be.

But Nebula is the less-famous character who is most deserving of a big role. Hopefully she'll benefit from not being absent from the earlier part of the film.
SW has been mentioned but I haven’t heard anything about Vision.

I was thinking a little bit about the leak of current Cap fighting past Cap. It'd be pretty funny if current Cap pretends to be Loki and does a similar bit to what Loki did in The Dark World. Especially if past Cap gets kinda offended.

The hammer is not the source of Thor's powers. Steve shouldn't be able to use his powers.

Mjolnir's not the source of Thor's powers--that's correct--but Odin nevertheless placed an enchantment upon it which allows for its wielder, "if he or she be worthy", to acquire said powers. How that will play out in the actual film has yet to be revealed, but I imagine that Steve will receive something of a strength boost rather than full-blown storm manipulation abilities.

My sense is that ordinary men and women are unable to heft godlike weapons like Mjolnir and Stormbreaker w/o an amp of some kind. Thor said as much in Infinity War.

“Your bodies would crumble as your minds collapse into madness”

Thing is, Mjolnir holds the distinction of bestowing upon its wielder sufficient power to use it, whereas Stormbreaker does not.

If the current leak is true then I wouldn’t want that.

Wouldn’t it be better if Cap died and his entire life flashes before his eyes and then he has a vision of Peggy Carter at that dance he was supposed to go with her on?

And Peggy says, ”it seems like I’ve waited an eternity. “

Steve smiles, and finally Steve Rogers finally has that dance with Peggy he should’ve had so many ages ago. And It’s ambiguous to the viewer whether it’s Steve’s dying dream he’s having or is it actually Peggy speaking to Steve in the afterlife.

The current leak sounds like dumb fanfaction, imo. Though my version also sounds like dumb fan fiction, lol.

Well, none of those are Mjolnir or Stormbreaker. They are one of the many inferior hammers (hundreds) that the dwarves are making to aid Thor in battle ever since he became unworthy of Mjolnir (which is now destroyed, by the way). They are so inferior that, in some battles, Thor has to use several of them, not to mention that they aren't hard to destroy.

I think he was just speaking to the manner in which the imagery bears a certain similarity to Thor as depicted in the leaked footage, not that it's exactly the same.

Nothing so far gives evidence of Quicksilver’s return but even if he doesn’t, maybe the aftermath of the film itself can lay the groundwork for his return in a future film.

Lol. This is not your movie XD

I'm sorry , I don't care about any stupid dance with Peggy. I don't know why people are so hung up on that dance. I thought Steve moved on, why would he think about dancing with Peggy while dying. He kissed her grandniece in civil war hours after Peggy's funeral, if that's not moving on, I don't know what is.

Watched the leaked footage. I love the scruffy look of Thor. Especially when his eyes are glowing. The scruffy beard and hair is more how I'd expect the mythological Thor to look. Like something Vikings would envision. I don't even mind that he's put on some weight.

Not sure how I feel about Cap fighting Cap. I feel like past Cap wouldnt attack future Cap. Hed be weary and suspicious for certain, but I think he would here future Cap out and cooperate. I think future Cap would have to do something particularly nefarious to get past Cap to attack him. This just seems like something the Russo's thought would be neat, and not something that actually holds up to close scrutiny. But I hope the film changes my mind.

"On your left..." put a big ol smile on my face. Cap there alone and out of options and then the cavalry arrives. And OMG what a cavalry it is! That battle is going to be insane!

Cap summoning Mjolnir, standing at the head of that massive army and saying "Avengers assemble."... :wowe:

I still dont like Professor Hulk at all.

The future Avengers watching past Hulk smash that car was :funny:.

That's what puzzles me about the footage, the big "everybody comes back" moment seemed to be something different from just resetting the timeline, so they must be coming from somewhere. The Soul Stone is the obvious guess, but it could be just a guess.

My guess: Strange is using the time stone to go back in time and is bringing all those people from different time periods before the snap.

Yes, that's why I said it depends on how they interpret that line. It says "shall possess the power of Thor", not the power of Mjolnir, the implication being that the hammer can somewhat replicate/canalize Thor's powers even when wielded by somebody else, albeit probably to a lesser extent than the original.

Also, the reason I "want" Iron Man to die and Cap to still be alive in the present is because I think that makes more sense for both of his arcs. Cap's arc is about, well, living in the present. Moving on from the past and WWII and all that. He's a recluse in Avengers, completely depressed and disenfranchised with everything he does in Winter Soldier and Ultron and a fugitive outsider in Civil War and Infinity War. I think the best conclusion for his arc would be to move on from all that and start living a healthier life in the present. Him die would just be "an easy way out" of his problems, he doesn't have to deal with the present anymore and him going to the past would be even worse, because it means he never had to move on after all. Iron Man, on the other hand, has been about the greater good. While he's had rockier arc than Cap (probably due to being handled by to many different directors) his story is about whether he can really be the selfless hero the world needs. ¿Do I think him saving the day and living would be another good option? Sure, but if someone's got to die, it's him.

There's a new leak every day and each one dumber than the last lol

Both Cap going back in time and Cap joining Thor in New Asgard is awful

Cap reuniting with Peggy would be sweet but it can only work if they manage to create some sort of alternate timeline and that's just convoluted

That leak with Iron Man flipping the bird to Thanos sounds stupid. I mean that's something Star Lord would do and has done. Not Tony.

Sounds fake and juvenile as hell.

I dunno. I can kind of believe that. Not that I want him to do that, but it does seem possible.
