Sci-Fi Lilo & Stitch-The Live Action Remake

Yeap and even now if he deletes them, the internet is forever

I wonder if the ads for the remake will take a cue from the 2002 original, where Stitch crashes iconic scenes from the Disney Renaissance era. Those ads are still hilarious.

Probably too expensive to do it with the live action remakes though.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I thought those trailers were better than the actual movie. Not that I disliked Lilo and Stitch but those trailers were on another level.

True. My favorites are the BATB and TLK ones but they all are funny.

Hopefully they still lean heavily with the Elvis stuff in the remake.

I see no reason why they wouldn't, especially piggybacking off the success of last year's Elvis movie.

With Disney pivoting Moana 2 from Disney+ to theatrical, is it inevitable this will switch to theatrical as well? It would definitely show more confidence in it.

The original "Stitch" movie is great - I love it. The sequels were pretty good too, but I lost interest in the animated series after a few episodes. I hope the new film lives up to the first one.

Interesting that this is no longer a direct-to-streaming movie. That strategy release probably wasn't good enough for the past direct-to-Disney+ movies. Imagine if they released the remakes of Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp, Peter Pan & Wendy and sequels such as Disenchanted and Hocus Pocus 2 in cinemas first.

That’s a confidence pivot for sure.
Either that or they thought it would be more profitable as a theatrical release after the bad time they had at the box office last year.

I don't think its a sign of confidence. Freakier Friday is also getting a theaterical release and I don't think that would do anything at the box office next year. Giving these films a theaterical release would serve as an extra income, I'm assuming.

The CG Stitch looks as adorable as the 2D animated version. I’m impressed.

Disney is going to sell a TON of these Stitch plushies come next year.
He does. Stitch already sells as much as Mickey I bet with as much new merch as he gets. Next year is gonna be huge for stitch merch as if it could get any bigger.
