Sci-Fi Lilo & Stitch-The Live Action Remake

Yeah I'm a little confused as to why they haven't shown a single clip from the actual movie yet. The Stitch marketing is cute but it's still a far cry from the original movie's campaign where he showed up in the classic Disney movies.

Is it concerning that we are less than 3 months out and have no full trailer yet. Surely they'll release one before Snow White, right?

Not really. Final Destination only has 1 trailer right now and this was supposed to be a Disney+ movie. I don't think Disney is banking this to be the next big remake of a Disney movie.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a huge hit for them. People do love Stitch, and by all accounts he's been accurately translated to live action right down to the same voice actor.

I expect there'll be a full trailer with actual footage from the movie within the next two weeks for it to be attached to Snow White.

I think all those small clips are paying homage to the early teasers where Stitch showed up in other Disney movies like Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast etc. But I am really surprised that less than 90 days from it being in theaters and NO trailer?

Like I mentioned, It was originally for Disney+. They might be saving marketing budget and waiting to ramp up the marketing once the movie is near. If I'm not mistaken, thats how they promoted Disney+'s Peter Pan & Wendy and most of their Disney+ movies.

Either way early promotion or late promotion, this would likely become more profitable compare to when it was just a straight to streaming movie.

Yeah IDK what’s taking them so long on an actual trailer.

It looks... okay.

But I just don't see the point of seeing a watered down live action version of such a terrific and funny animated movie, though.

Yeah this movie is definitely gonna be a hit.

Def, definitely gonna be a hit.

Nothing is off limits for the Disney remake machine except for maybe Pocahontas. I can't see them touching that one with a 100 foot pole.

Man, I want them to be bold and try it.

The reactions on social media would be crazy!

I'm noticing this movie seems to have a lot more people for it than against it in comparison to How To Train Your Dragon live action. That's interesting.
It's funny because it really looks like a 1:1 adaptation just like HTTYD. My theory is it simply comes down to this being an adaptation of an older 2D animated movie instead of a more recent 3D animated movie, so there's a little more novelty there seeing these characters in live action. It's also been about a decade or more since Stitch has been in anything significant as far as movies or shows go while it's only been six years since the last How to Train Your Dragon movie came out.

Y’all are probably gonna kill me for this but…..HTTYD looks way better than this. I’m sorry, I’m just not feeling it here. The glimpse we hear of Jumba especially got me disappointed because it’s clear Zach Galifinakis isn’t even TRYING to do a Russian accent. Cmon, Disney, was David Harbor not available to VA for this?

But no, complain all you want about HTTYD and Snow White, at least those are either trying to be faithful to the original (re; the former) or trying to shake the story up a little (the latter). Effort is at least being made! This? I can tell this was originally for D+ because this is neither. It looks shockingly middle-of-the-road. And where’s Gantu? Are they just having Cobra Bubbles replace him via a bigger role?

Also, Disney needs to stop trying to release stuff on Memorial Day weekend. They’ve never had much success there and I don’t know why they keep trying.
