Live-action Dragonball movie

I'd like to see some of the Dragon Ball stuff, like Goku's beginnings, quest for the dragon balls. Replae Pilaf with Garlic Jr., and you have a killer movie.

In the second one, have Frieza, and the third could be either Cell or Brolly. If they go with Cell, he should remain in the 1st Stage, seeing as it is the most intimidating of them.

Eh, I don't know. I prefer the supernal elements like Babidi, Bibidi, Dabura and Garlic/Garlic Jr. as opposed to the alien stuff.

My only gripe is that the studio/writers are probably going to want the 3 main villains in 3 movies. None of the movies will be true adaptations, and it's impossible for them be. There will seriously not be one movie fully adapting every single thing in the Saiyan saga, let alone making 6 movies to try to cover everything in Dragon Ball. Clearly not going to happen, IMO. .
1st movie-raditz napa vegeta
2nd-vegeta, ginyu force
3rd-frieza..and vegeta

not so hard...

With the SSJ thing, I definitely agree, but as compensation, maybe Piccolo, Tien, Krillin, and the others should be powered up more. Now that I think about it, maybe SSJ isn't a good idea, but it would more than likely happen due to it being widely known/famous. The bad thing about films like this is that the huge cast is just so hard to adapt. We'll get X3 all over again.
picolo did get stronger by fusing with nail.. but there still just ants compared to having the SSJ family club. lol.

it should be like transformers.
you would have to change some stuff.
maybe even change teh story so that piccolo is in the sequel.

A faithful adaption just seems very difficult to do

wachowkys did v for vendetta faithfully....

and were able to make a HUGE trilogy like the matrix films good(which i enjoyed)

But Dragon Ball fans would be pissed if the idea of a non-faithful adaptation isn't accepted.
after so many comigbook movies we now know that all fans will never like the movie.
you will get first 30% that like it and 70% that wont. when the movie comes out and they will see thefights it will be 50/50 IMO.

1. make a movie that is nto like the cartoons.
2. dont make the movie because it is hard to do.

1. lets make a movie even if it is not 100% faithfull
2. remember teh fans that dont want a movie if it would not be 100% faithfull? well if the movie comes out they will not watch it.
fans who dont like movie adaptations must understand that noone is forcing them to watch those movies.
they will always have those cartoons and comics. in hte comics you can have 1000 books. in the cartoons you can have 1000 episodes.
a movie is 2 hours long. they should make hte movies so that we can enjoy the vissual fights and SS transfomations.

You're not really comparing V for Vendetta with it's realistic setting, to a fantasy world filled Dinosaurs, talking animal-humans and strange science, are you?

I thought the concept of a legendary Saiyan was cool...except for when he turned into a cyborg.

There's just too much in the DB universe to choose just one. The Red Ribbon Army could be interesting, if given a bit of a revamp.

When did a Supar Saiyan turn into a Cyborg?

I thought in one of the movies some scientist revived Brolly by turning him into a cyborg/android? I'm pretty sure that was the case...it was the second movie to feature Brolly. Its been a while since I've seen it.

Nah, he got cloned. Sucked nontheless.

Ah, and yep. Janemba's demon form was pretty interesting. Do you think fusion should be in the movies? Even without fusion, we could still have Janemba's demon form.

How do you turn these into live action characters without making them look ridiculous?

They should strictly stick to the mangas only. No Janemba, Garlic Jr, Brolly or anything.

Like someone already mentioned, if they can make the fish guy in Hellboy not look ridiculous, I'm sure characters like Freeza could be easily translated to film.

exactly.....

For Cell, leave him in the Stage 1 Form. Much more intimidating that the Stage 2 or Staqe 3.

For Movie I, Maybe touch on Piccolo being the villain, like in DB,

For Movie II, Dead Zone

For Movie III, I don't know right now.

Xerces from 300 reminded me of Frieza..

Freeza and Buu I could see being translated to film but Cell seems a bit more complex to translate to film

He looks like a mix between a bug and a human. Shouldn't be too hard.

or if anything...(not perferably) full cgi..like gollum.lol

Easier said than done but if DB is indeed turned into a movie one day the director and production team will have one hell of a job adapting DB into a live action movie

No one said it would be easy. And if they don't feel like bothering, then it shouldn't be done in the first place.

In the series, could everyone see a ki blast? Or where they invisible to the normal person's eye?

Who are you fooling?
Sure, to us, that seems like a good solution or something along those lines, but what about the general DBZ fans and the people behind the possible movie. Besides, must we seriously need Vegeta to be the villain in all three movies? That's ridiculous.

picolo did get stronger by fusing with nail.. but there still just ants compared to having the SSJ family club. lol.

Kami as well, but I agree, it shouldn't be a saiyans only club.

Changing stuff is definitely needed for a movie.
I'm not sure about Piccolo in the sequel, though.

Fully visible.
No bootleg Hadokens like in Street Fighter. ;)
