Logan Logan spoiler thread discussion

I might of missed it but did we hear why Logan wasn't healing normally?

The Adamantium had been slowly poisoning him for decades. His healing could no longer keep up with the pace.

I thought Logan only assumed it was the adamantium poisoning him, until Dr. Rise revealed he basically wiped out Mutants, by tampering with everyday products. And Logan was simply dying slowly from the virus.

It was definitely adamantium poisoning in Logan's case. I doubt Dr. Rice would have been able to concoct something to get past Logan's healing factor.

I think it's both. Only reason Logan survives adamantium is because of his healing factor. If Rice's shenanigans are messing with and weakening mutant abilities, it would reason that Logan's healing factor is weakening because of a result from that, and because of his weakening healing factor, then the adamantium is starting to affect him.

Something else that I haven't seen come up: a 12 year old who spent her whole life in a lab can drive a stick shift?

She never drove in the movie. Only when Logan was falling asleep at the wheel she readjusted the wheel a few times.

I think it was simply the Adamamtium that was poisoning Logan. Earlier in the movie Logan mentions that no new mutants have been born for 25 years. That makes it seem like the virus simply stops mutant genes from naturally developing so that People like Dr. Rice or Francis can create their own mutants to use as soldiers.

????

She drove Wolverine to the urgent care obviously

And

She also drove after Wolverine fell asleep

They show this in the movie. A good Samaritan who was there when Logan buried Charles and passed out drove Logan and Laura to the hospital. Laura stole the keys to his car after they left.

She never drove when wolverine was falling asleep at the wheel. She just readjusted the wheel a few times to stay on the road.

Logan passes out on the road after the truck won't start and Laura notices some guy got out of a car nearby to go fishing. The very next shot is Logan waking up in a clinic. We don't see if the guy drove them there or if she stole the car but the most likely scenario is that she stole it.

She readjusted the wheel a few times but she tells him he should rest and that's what he does. Next she gets out of the car and goes to the driver's side and gently pushes him out of the way and she starts the car up. Next he wakes up at Eden and he sees her climbing up the cliff and he passes out again.

Yeah, Laura drives. She's depicted as very smart and probably learned from watching.

She definitely drove the car. She didn't just readjust the wheel. He fell asleep, she took over and drove to the meeting place.

I could be wrong, but that same guy who was fishing was in the hospital reading a paper. He was wearing the same hat.

Maybe I just misunderstood something. I need to see this movie again.

She drove When Wolverine passed out at the wheel, it clearly showed her driving. She also drove Logan to the intensive care, she already had the keys and the car was parked funny when they went out, like an amateur driver had parked it.

I just presumed the nurse who got her out taught her.

I swear the Bronco was an auto as I remember seeing the shifter on the steering console.....

That makes zero sense. Why would this person ride with them to urgent care and then stay behind as they leave in his truck?

Laura stole that car while the man was fishing.

When Laura gets in the car again she throws her makeshift driving booster in the backseat

And she is clearly shown driving the car the second time using his leg as a booster seat.

You Definitely need a rewatch

What I was wondering is how she reached the pedals lol. It was a little funny, but I just shrugged it off.

That was kind of hinted at but i guess its the likeliest explanation.

I think so as well. And it lines up wit the comics more or less. Wolverine does heal faster when he has no metal in him.

Makes you wonder if Sabretooth is running around more or less in tip top shape in the Logan time line.

A friend of mine counted all the deaths in this movie. According to him it's 81.
