Anyone else interested? I could never get into Friday Night Lights as a series, though I loved the movie, and hence never got to see the hotness of Adrianne Palicki.

I am very interested in this series and I love Friday Night Lights. Adrianne is gorgeous.

Damn that was really good. Some of the characters still need fleshing out, but I was engaged the entire time.

The blonde in the preview looks interesting.

I was debating whether to watch this or The Event live, and I went with the latter. And I chose wrong. This was a MUCH better pilot, imo (though I do wonder how long they can keep it going as a series). Loved the music, too - between "Kettering" and all the Mumford & Sons, I was in heaven. I'll definitely be tuning in next week.

I didn't get to watch this show last night but thank goodness for Hulu!

Some said it was wrong for Fox back in the spring and the 4.05 million viewers who tuned make a strong case that it should've been on cable. It got great reviews and had 10 million with House as a lead in but it was DOA. Maybe it could grow to 8-9 million but its very likely Ride Along will replace it in November.

Don't get upset if Fox cancels it, the viewers just aren't there.

So I take it the ratings weren't good?

Worse than Chuck. Its one thing for a new show to decline to 4 million viewers but to premiere with that? This is the lowest premiere for a Fox Monday program possibly ever. Just based on the results of previous shows which never reached this low a number I don't see it lasting very long. It could be gone after two or three weeks. Which is a shame since this is probably Fox's best new show of the fall and best new Monday show since Prison Break. Its good news for Fringe, Lie to Me and Human Target.

I'm beginning to think people hate Texans! :woot:

All modern shows set in Texas have struggled. Friday Night Lights, Lonestar, and The Good Guys.

I love FNL and while I haven't seen Lonestar yet, I think I will love it too.

Yeah, guess I'd better not get to attached to this show - we'll be lucky if Fox even gives it 13 episodes with those numbers. Oh well, I'll be watching it every Monday 'till it's gone.

Just watched the pilot on hulu. It's the best new show this season IMO. I will be totally pissed at FOX if they cancel this show. It's just too good.

Brace yourself, Prison Mike. This is Fox we're talking about, and with those numbers, it's hard to argue against cancellation. But I agree, it was a great pilot.

there were rumors floating that the second episode might not even air, the numbers were that bad

Fox actually had to have someone comment that the 2nd episode will air next week

They should at least wait until they get the DVR numbers in. Maybe most people recorded the episode. Monday is a busy night for television.

really?:whatever:

yes Monday is a busy night, but if new shows like Hawaii 5-0 can bring in 14 million viewers and Castle 12 million an hour later

and Lonestar pulls in 4.5 million at 9 oclock

something is wrong

I loved this show.
All because of one reason.

The way they stacked the deck of the PERFECT life for the main character the entire show, my heart was racing beyond belief waiting for something ****ED to happen to screw it all up.

A horrible chain of events that screw up a likeable main character to me, is more gut wrenching any any situational twist in LOST or the like.

What? DVR numbers are starting to be taken more seriously now. It's only been one episode. Maybe the audience for it is there but they have to choose between Dancing with the Stars and The Event or some other show at 9 p.m. If the DVR numbers aren't great then they can go ahead and cancel the show but if there's some promise then maybe wait a week or two before giving up on it.

because none of them are very good, save for "The Good Guys"

TNT is starting up "Dallas" for next year, damn sure Ill be watching that

Biggest question in my mind.
Considering the show is a specific plot initiated show, I don't know how long it'll keep going.

I expected a show like this to debut in the off season actually, Don't expect it to be prime time.
Is it the same makers of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS?

See, LIE TO ME was relegated to the summer season, so I don't expect a show like this to do that well.
I hope LIE TO ME returns considering their time slot was given to LONE STAR.

Yes, but how seriously really depends on the network....DVR numbers won't save a show if they aren't phenomenal

It's the story + genre.
I loved it, but I see how it might not resonate with a larger audience.
Now when you've got more action packed/genre specific shows on other channels.

It takes time to build an audience for a show where the only reason to keep watching is to see how the main character juggles his two lives.
MY OWN WORST ENEMY had a similar take but in the spy world, and yet was still canceled. :|
