It IS an excuse. Margot is literally licking poles, bending over, and putting her clothes on in these trailers, but Harley isn't a piece of a** in this movie? Get real!

Based on the trailers and choice of music, I'd say Harley's arc is about finding her independence. Or at the very least, catharsis from what she suffered at the Joker's hands. So, I see her as more a character; but, the beauty of a good movie is that it leaves interpretation up to the viewer.

Going from simply discussing the movie and getting real, I've seen friends of mine doing some of that stuff you mention, and they're some of the most intelligent people I know. So it isn't as if any of it is especially damning, for lack of better word.

Considering that females have been sexualized FAR longer then males.....it's kind of hard to argue (imo). Female superheros still have to pose in dumb poses while their male counterparts get to pose normal and fully clothed.

Lol yeah ok. Women aren't men. Women are not gonna wear full suits because a woman's body is a positive thing. It's a gorgeous thing that should be shown and appreciated. To turn women into men by wearing a full suit is not "equality". Equality is making a female character smart and formidable like a male character. No way I'm gonna disagree about the female body being a gorgeous thing, but I think it's safe to say that a good half of the human population feels exactly the same about the male body.

How about them. Don't they deserve their eye-candy as well.
Which is why I think that Superman should absolutely wear hot pants in the next movie. Henry Cavill's body is not a negative thing, and it should be shown and appreciated in all its gorgeousness. As long as he is portrayed to be smart and formidable, what he wears doesn't really matter.

Was constantly shirtless and had many ass shots in the tudors

Also despite be half way decent as an actor is constantly only mentioned for his good looks and body.

I don't see Henry or men in general up in arms about it. My point still stands and is still valid. Men get it to....a lot. You people also seem to keep using the word ogle. Juat because a movie with fake characters and fake stories shows both men and a woman ogling Harley as she changes clothes, doesn't mean that speaks for all men who live in the real world. Did we watch 2 different versions of Tudors? Because I am pretty sure that there was A LOT of female nudity compared to male nudity. Plus Cavill had this to say

To be fair, thats accurate to the characters. No one wants to see Wonder Woman fully clothed. Im sure most people here would complain if they decided to go with this look instead

I don't disagree with you about Wonder Woman (the movie costume is great, and so are Katana's and Enchantress', imho), but let's be real, "they must do it this way because that's how it was in the comics" isn't really that good of a justification since comics are often even worse than movies when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Speaking of comics though... cb Katana wears an armor, cb Enchantress wears a corset and pants and cb Harley sure as hell doesn't wear some singer's stolen clothes.

Are you really arguing that characters wearing stripperific outfits in an action movie is totally the same thing as people getting naked in a movie about people whose job consists of getting naked.
