This film will wind up in the Guinness Book of World Records as the futuristic sci-fi movie that features the most corn fields.

I think it's disqualified since it takes place in two different time periods. :o

I wonder how different the trailer today will be from the International one.

I'm really digging what JGL is doing here. He's nearly unrecognizable, and it isn't just because of the makeup. The voice work sounds nothing like him.

Definitely catching this one in the theater.

Interested, but still not buying that JGH is Bruce Willis... interested in why it was those two and not someone else as either older or younger that looked alike...

Because they are both very good actors. I'm confused by the premise of this movie. So JGL lives in the future and the mafia sends back people from an even more distant future for him to kill, am I right?

btw, I love the futuristic city here. Finally something that's somewhat different from Blade Runner!

PS: Is it me, or is it harder and harder to get downloadable links for these trailers? Yahoo and IGN just have the streaming versions. Lame.

Yeah. That is lame.

Yahoo used to offer QuickTime version but no longer.

As for the movie I really do like the futuristic cityscape and Emily Blunt looks great as usual. ;)

Really digging JGL quasi impersonation of Willis without making it into a parody.

The movie was written for JGL and he is producing, I believe.
Willis is a BIG name actor of the proper age who said yes to the project.
End of story.

It's just like Josh Brolin/Tommy Lee Jones in MIB3 - a little make-up and a lot of acting goes a long way!

That was a great trailer. I think I'm sold on this movie now. Emily Blunt looks great. I'll be seeing it in the theater.

This looks great. Watching this, I'd like to see Rian Johnson direct a Batman film.

That could be really interesting. With JGL as The penguin.

This looks awesome, especially that futuristic city and whatever the hell is making everything float up in the air like that (if you know, please don't say it).

One thing though is that I think they should have given Willis hair in the movie. That one shot of him where he still has a full head of hair made him look more like JGL than the others.

And Emily Blunt and Piper Perabo in one movie... yum.

you're joking right.
not so much about this looking different from blade runner but about that bolded part.

I mean seriously.

Can't believe how great this looks, never would have thought that. It hasn't only piqued my interest, I'm genuinely stoked for it now.

What are you talking about? Don't you know that EVERY sci-fi movie that has been made in the last 70 years has been a ripoff of Blade Runner?! The Internet told me so!

LOOPER will open TIFF this year on Sept 6th!

I MUST see this. I MUST.

Me too. The opening gala is almost always sold out in minutes. :( Either way, I'll see the film at some point at TIFF.

I remember when I first saw the trailer. I looked at someone and said "I thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt was supposed to be in that. Am I thinking of a different movie?"
