Anyone know if there's a site where I can download the song from the trailer?

I don't get why people complain about the make-up and effects on JGL. He looks badass, just not like JGL.

One of the most surprising things about this movie that no one is talking about... I think this is the first time I've seen Bruce Willis has let his side hair grow in a little since he shaved it all off.

Hopefully unlike drive, this love for this one won't be contrived. At the very least the lead actor will give a tangible performance.

The lighting and palate in this this is that of the matrix, but with less saturation.

I agree with your view of Drive.

That movie was style over substance.

There is plenty of substance in Drive. The film is basically a giant metaphor for the superhero archetype. The depth and substance comes from the actors and the symbolism.

And thing is, there was a lot of dialogue in the movie. It's really just Gosling's character who doesn't say much, because he's a quiet type whose actions speak louder than words. The quiet moments between the driver and Irene, I think are often misunderstood by some audiences... they have an unspoken connection that shines through.

My friends who saw the trailer before Cabin in the Woods yesterday were confused by the trailer lol.

What confused them? They didn't understand that JGL and Willis were playing the same guy?

Yea, i've seen people say their relationship seems awkward.

Na, remember that conversation in Pulp Fiction? About awkward silences and un-awkward silences? That's what the Driver and Irene were feeling. They were really comfortable with each other and just had that connection that makes small talk completely unnecessary.

Yeah, exactly. Plus, much like in Pulp Fiction, there are some things that they clearly can't say and moves they can't make, because of the possible repercussions. Irene is married, and the driver... well, (I think) his initial reluctance to approach her is that he lives a dangerous life and he views her as someone pure; better than him and all of that.

Yea definitely. There is a lot of layers to that film, it baffles me when people say it's style over substance.

Yeah, can't win 'em all I guess.

I wonder how Garret Dillahunt fits into this movie. I hope he plays a moron because he's awesome at it. :D

I think the whole idea of hunting down your self from the future is just so incredibly awesome. It makes me think of another Willis movie, The Jackal.

if you dont understand why some complain then i dont know what to think about you. SHH members know JGL. they know him for over 10 years. they know how he looks. the makeup was trying to make him look like a young Bruce . its a little strange ok? its that simple. noone is saying that they will not watch the movie because of the makeup.

he looks like he had plastic surgery ok?

It's all in the future anyway. They take drugs through their eyeballs and stuff. ****ing weird.

Some people like to be the first to crap on something, even when it's not justified. I guess next some will be *****ing about Brolin wearing prosthetics in MIB3...

I saw the trailer today with CABIN and the make-up looks flawless! Yes, you can tell something has been done to him, but it's hard to say exactly what.

Hahah yeah I don't get all the fuss either. Here's Rian Johnson taking a stab at sci-fi and... everybody is hung up on the make-up.

thats kind of how i felt about Drive i stil think it is one of the most overrated films in some time it does'nt suck or anything but it's most impressive parts of the film is it's style not it's substance

the environment,tone,soundtrack,cinematography

not really the characters,acting,or story

I wasn't too excited after I watched the trailer online yesterday, but I saw it today in front of The Cabin in The Woods and I'm much more excited about it now.

And how is this different from any other actor wearing prosthetics to alter the way they look for a role? We know how Christopher Lee looks and we know he doesn't have an extremely pointy nose like he does as Saruman but no one complains about that.

To be honest, the only scene where his eyes look a little strange is that one close up (pictured above). It's mainly because in that one shot, he looks more like Edward Norton than Bruce Willis.

The picture above does look like a bad surgery episode, gotta admit

I'll admit, I can't get over those eyebrows. They look too neat and black in some shots, especially in the comparison shot at the very top of the last page. If they were a little less neat and not as black, the overall look would be pretty much perfect for me.

As it stands, the eyebrows aren't perfect, but I can live with that since everything else about this movie looks awesome.
