Joe and I recorded three vignettes for iTunes trailers leading up to the release of the teaser trailer on Thursday. Today we talk a little about the premise, tomorrow about the feel of the world, and Wednesday about the makeup process and the thinking behind the prosthetics approach.

 At least we're getting something more than only stuff from the trailer.

Bruce Willis, JGL and time travel, they had my ticket already there.

That footage was pretty awesome. It's a good thing I only know the premise. This looks promising.

I'll be too busy on Tuesday and Wednesday so at least I can see this now. Selfish but true.

Rian Johnson is the man.

If you guys ever have the chance to listen to Slashfilm's podcast, Rian has been a guest on several episodes and he's a FUNNY dude. Stand up funny. It's interesting when they directors on as guests because you get to listen to their stories and get to know their personalities.

The funny thing is that one of the funniest and most insightful guests they had as Joseph Khan, the dude who made Torque. Yes Torque (and the upcoming Detention). He's very compelling and I hope Detention allows to show off his quirks.

I want to see some Emily Blunt! :(

Joseph Kahn makes the best music videos ever.

I gifed the **** out of those videos. I feel much less anxious now. The more I look at the face, the less it bothers me. That's a plus.

But the eyebrows...

It would've sweet of they could've Benjamjn Buttoned Willis and had Moonlighting Willis in the movie,

I wish Rian Johnson was holding his Banjo for the hell of it.

Rian wanted JGL in the film and wrote the role for him so that's a no.

Also, Rian made the decision to hire Willis instead of aging JGL up is that while aging make up and CG are good, you can't create the world weariness you get through age no matter how good a young actor is.

It's surprising how much Gordon-Levitt doesn't look like himself, given the relatively minimal makeup work. A different nose really changes a person's entire face.

Oh yeah. I read the thread. I think that all makes perfect sense.

It's just something that could've been sweet to see. The audience obviously know what Willis looked like younger and we have all that baggage with him. It was breath taking when Young Brad Pitt showed up in BB for the same reason.

JGL is sweet and I'm very much looking forward to this.

its important to realize and understand that he doesnt have minimal make up. they cahnge his face a lot.

the face looks a little strange. is it because we are used to JGL ? i dont know. but it looks weird. i think after 20 minutes we will not notice it anymore.

He looks different but cool, really helps make him sell as a younger Willis.

For some reason, the eyebrows alone kind of take me out of it.

I think it's just because you are so used to seeing JGL look as JGL, the make-up and effects are still great.

In some scenes in the previews the eyebrows don't look too terrible or distracting. It's jarring at first but people will get over it.
