Girlfriend. But it was complicated with her having twins and living in Staten Island with the parents of the babies daddy. He's in prison for sexually assaulting her. Any way, she's been out of work for a LONG time. I've helped her through a ton of crap, but after my dad died I just couldn't keep bailing her out of situations. She asked me to get her a new Galaxy phone, and I was like, "You want me to buy you a $800 phone? Who's gonna pay for the service? ME?" She gets all offended and that's when I said I just couldn't do this any more. I've tried to help her get jobs, or given her advice on what she could do, but to no useful end. I have my mother and grandmother to keep in mind now that my father has past. I can't have someone who is being, well, LAZY, dragging me down.
I know I'm prying but why does she not want to work? Has she given you any explanation or excuse as to why she can't work and help you out? Sounds awfully selfish to me that she does nothing and expects you to pay for everything. My two cents is that you're better off without her. I mean if she loved and respected you she'd at least make an effort to alleviate your burden especially given your circumstances. I'd think even working at a fast food joint is more acceptable to you than no job at all.
