Me and my bro BN know where it's at. Fight and action choreography will be off the chain.

I've also enjoyed the drama and characterizations in his films. He's a very talented guy overall, but yeah he shines with action.

If ever McKay's Nightwing is to go against Evans' Deathstroke, Mckay has his work cut out for him when it'll come to combat choreography.

You should read up on his new film. lol

Still cant get a hold of that script tho.

The man is also liaising with Joe Caranahan on a US remake of The Raid.

I'm praying at least this movie gets made. The fight scenes are going to be insane.

I wouldn't put too much stock in this being rater R (although I see DC/WB being more willing to do so than say Marvel), and they've been pushing more and more what you can show violence wise with PG-13 (BvS warehouse scene being an example).

That said, if we get it R rated I'm poppin' a bottle of bubbles.

Rated R extended Version

Well Emmerich has kind of said they'd be willing to. Lol.
He’s also thinking of ways that DC can differentiate itself from Marvel projects, which tend to be family-friendly. Emmerich says he admires violent, irreverent and very adult comic-book movies such as “Logan” and “Deadpool.”

“I would be surprised if we didn’t at some point make an R-rated DC movie,” says Emmerich

Can live action ever be as good as that?

Absolutely. Between BvS's warehouse choreography and Evans', yes. I'm not sure that this will feature Batman (honestly doesn't need to) but that would be the cherry on the cake.

I'm still holding out for Deathstroke to be the big bad of SS2 or at least be introduced.

Breh, both Raid films have better scenes than that.

I definitely need to check out some of Evan's works.

Would they recast Slade since he'll be leading a solo film now? I haven't watched anything with Joe in it, so not sure of his leading actor qualities aside from a few films where he's like a tertiary character or some jock dude.

As much as I'd support a recast, we also have to keep in mind what people said about Gal. Always best to just wait and see.

Rebirth has really made me appreciate Deathstroke as a solo character, so I am completely on-board with this. Landing the director of The Raid would be a huge get.
