Following up his Oscar-winning drama 12 Years a Slave, Steve McQueen is switching things up and going genre with his next feature: the crime drama Widows. Based on the British television series, featuring a script co-written by Gone Girl‘s Gillian Flynn, the film boasts one of the year’s best casts, including Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Kaluuya, André Holland, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, and Liam Neeson.

Gillian Flynn?
That was a TV series?
Liam Neeson is gonna be in a decent movie? :funny:

Anyone here going to see Hereditary? I really want to but the reactions to this are extreme, people literally shouting at the screens and not being able to sleep at night :funny:

Definitely going to see it, for those very reasons :woot: Looks so good. Its in the UK from the 15th June.

I have to wait 3 weeks for Hereditary, a month for Ant Man and Wasp and 2 weeks for Fallout, comparing to US release. It's a nightmare :funny:

Because everything he says about Superman makes me feel like he gets it.

What has he said about Superman? I've read a lot of Bayona interviews and only found a few references to how the film was the first one he remembers seeing as a child, how it inspired him, and how he would love to direct a Superman film. Have you read anything else? If you could share quotes or links, that would be great.

Anyone here watched the show "Barry"? Hearing good things about it.

Not everything has to be an argument.:funny:

It seems you are the only one who sees things this way. It was a simple request for information. I've repeatedly said how much I want Bayona to direct a Superman film. I didn't know he said more about it. You said you had more information, and I genuinely wanted to know more. So can you help me out or not? I've been trying to find more quotes from him and only found the few I already mentioned. I would really appreciate more. Thank you.

I watched it. It's kind of a bizarre concept -- a hitman balancing hitman duties and acting classes -- but the performances are amazing and in addition to genuine laughs, the show has a lot of heart and suspense.

I'll add it on my list.

I finished Killing Eve and it was fantastic.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

Very funny. I'm surprised at how much I liked the dude from Happy Days.

Thanks.

BTW can you provide the quote though? Would love to hear what Bayona had to say. Its either him or McQuarrie for MOS2 in my book. Waiting to see MI6/JW2.
