I think the character is supposed to look young, yeah. The girl they cast is 22 and Cavill is 35, I think an age gap like that isn't that weird. But some people thought Cavill was too young for Geralt as well.

I didn't even realize Yennefer and Ciri were cast. Just looked at the names and their pictures. At first I thought the actress for Yennefer looked too young (not because she looks young relative to Cavill-- who is going to look older because of the Witcher process anyway-- but because Yennefer should be someone who is shrewd and has has worldly experiences). But then I found this picture (admittedly, it's hard to believe this is the same girl; am I missing something?):

I think that's another actress by the name of Belçim Bilgin.

Yeah, that's a different actress. The actress they cast as Yennefer is Anya Chalotra.

And fans don't seem to like it much. What else is new. Thankfully, so far I don't see the same level of backlash as it was towards Ciri's casting details from last month tho. Fans seem somewhat better behaved here. The worst thing I've seen on twitter so far is "Yennefer isn't supposed to be an Indian middle-schooler", but overall people seem kind of cool with the cast.

Strange that they are going for someone so young. Then again, the actress for Ciri is younger than her Witcher 3 counterpart, so perhaps they are going back to the earlier days of the characters, knocking about 7-8 years off of the Witcher 3 versions. Again, Cavill's look/age is less relevant since there's an explanation for why he would look older.

Btw, props for going out of your way and putting in that little thing under the 'c' in her name.
