the wachowskis and everything they've done recently are a disaster at this point, no one is giving them serious money to do anything
I want them no where near a DC property
Channing Tatum as Superman and whispering Eddie Redmayne as Lex Luthor. You want it Chip!
I just threw up in my mouth a bit.
With Mila Kunis as Lois Lane ?Channing Tatum as Superman and whispering Eddie Redmayne as Lex Luthor. You want it Chip!

I think it’s time for me to revisit that script, as I haven’t read it in years. But as I recall, there were two major changes to the mythos* that I didn’t love but could accept as they worked well enough within the context of the story. Outside of those though, I pretty much loved it.I would be fine if they rebooted Superman using Abrams script. It was a great read.
There's a subsequent (third) draft which never made it online, but I dug up my old bookmarks and someone here years back gave a review with some details. A lot of changes, even from the 2nd draft which most are familiar with.I think it’s time for me to revisit that script, as I haven’t read it in years. *the October 2003 draft I’m referring to, which didn't have Kryptonian Lex or the “Kryptonian fu” fight scenes of the July 2002 draft.
Dayum dude, don't lump Dunkirk in with Mad Max Fury Road.Watching Mad Max Fury Road again. While this is undeniably a very well done movie....I cant help but struggle with it every time I watch it. I think because Miller is more concerned with the visuals and the action rather than story and character arcs, the movie keeps me at arms length. I remember when it had first came out and it got a 99% on RT and everyone was calling it the best action movie ever, I was expecting to be blown the f*** away and I left the theater disappointed and I think its because I can't truly enjoy a movie on a visceral level, even a dumb action movie, if there aren't characters and character arcs to latch onto and invest in. I had a similar issue with Dunkirk last year, I left that movie feeling cold and really nothing at all because that movie wasn't about story and character but rather about a vibe and mood and technical cinematic mastery, just like Fury Road.
I dunno, just my random two cents for the day. lol
Thanks, I’d never seen that. Honestly, the 2nd Abrams draft sounds better, as I’m not sure I could get on board with Schwartz turning Jor-El into the villain. Their arcs for Lex sound pretty much the same with minor differences. I also don’t remember the Kent’s telling him never to use his powers in the 2nd draft, but as I said it’s been a while. There's a subsequent (third) draft which never made it online, but I dug up my old bookmarks and someone here years back gave a review with some details. A good action movie should be able to deliver its characters & story, including the arcs, through the action.
That's why people were so excited over Miller potentially doing anything DC-related.
JL Mortal had a hilarious script, so I wouldn't say he could've turned out something as good or great.

Haha, well I think Dunkirk and Fury Road are similar in that they don't tell their stories through things like dialogue and character interactions and relationships and don't have conventional character arcs. Both movies I think are asking the audience to digest them in a way different than what they're used to for other movies, through visuals, through action, through tense musical score, neither movies spell out whats happening in a clear way because there's no clear cut protagonist(s) leading us through the story through his or her point of view.
I dunno, I'm not faulting George Miller in any way, the movie is incredibly well done but it's hard for me to put it in my top favorite action movies because I really don't care about the characters. I feel like when Furiosa ripped Immortan Joe's face off and said "REMEMBER me?!" that should have been a "**** YEEAH!" moment because you're supposed to be cheering and rooting for these characters to overcome their oppressors but I don't get that pump of adrenaline because although its a cool moment, I'm not invested in Furiousa because of the way Fury Road tells its story.
I am continually saddened we never got to see Miller's JLA.
I'm not if people had a problem with Snyder's JL they would've definitely had a problem with Miller's. Although I would still love to read the JL s script or story that was written before Miller that was supposed to bring Nolan's Batman and Singer's Superman together.I am continually saddened we never got to see Miller's JLA.
