Not new from me, I've hated it for years.

You must be amazing at parties.

You wanna get off that high horse there, Mandon? :o

If or whenever WB chooses to revisit Cyborg again, I think they should aim to make his mechanical parts as organic looking as possible. Fox recently did the same with Colossus in Deadpool 2 by making subtle changes to his musculature and slimming him down some. As a result, he looks even better now.

I've long been in favor of going with one of his less drastic designs. Something like the look from his short-lived solo series seems like it'd be doable with a lot more practical effects and minimal CGI touch-ups.

I'm more excited about this than any other CBM in the works.

If I were a fan of these characters, I would be nervous. Ava does deserve another shot on a big scale, but that doesn't change the fact that she did a strike out with her first big budget movie.

Agreed on both. She has earned another chance with her earlier efforts but there’s no pretending that her first big budget attempt didn’t quite go to plan.

Yeah, that's the perfect Cyborg look right there. The only thing I'd consider changing is the half-mechanical face effect so that the metal blends more organically w/ his human facial tissue.

It's still interesting to me why is Cyborg a Doom Patrol member here. I wonder if it had anything to do with some WB embargo of sorts. For instance, if they only allowed them to use the character on these shows as long as he's neither a Titan, nor a Leaguer.

It's likely just so he can join the Titans later on via crossover type stuff. They didn't accidentally add a classic Titan to the Doom Patrol lineup, which spun off from TITANS.

I think he looks okay. The cybernetic components look intentionally a bit more manmade and clunkier, though more sophisticated than Robotman, which makes sense if he comes to the Doom Patrol and is "saved" by The Chief, or with technology The Chief worked with Vic's father and mother on or something.

One wonders if Cyborg's more detailed backstory was eliminated from Justice League in part because of his usage in TITANS/DOOM PATROL, or if they're going to use some of it here.

Or that WB have a ready made excuse when no one watches it, they can say 'well we tried and stuck with him after JL'.

I don’t personally mind whether they go conservative or out-there with how basic/futuristic they want the cybernetics to look, as long as it looks utterly convincing.

Just came back from Aquaman. It was pretty good, nothing too exceptional but very entertaining. The humor didn't click for me and that one part before the finale went so much past suspension of disbelief that it was laughable. The cgi was really good and all in all it's a really beautiful film. A bit too much cheese for me but very enjoyable. Action was amazing.

It was too long tho. Felt like three movies in one and I found myself wondering when is this going to end at one point.
