Oh man, I loved Lucifer S01 but I haven't been able to finish it. Same with iZombie.

Edit: I just checked and I may have finished S01 but I never got around to watch S02.

Wasn't she supposed to be Black Widow but prevented by scheduling conflict at one point?
Wonder what changed her mind after few years passed.

She chose Gulliver's Travels over being BW in the MCU, wise girl.

That wasn’t her choice - Fox exercised an option they’d had on her since Devil Wears Prada and blocked her from IM2. Essentially, she still “owed” them a film. She chose Gullivers Travels from the roles presented to her to get out of that option as quickly as possible.

The role she chose to turn down was Peggy Carter. And after losing out on a superhero role, I can see how a superhero love interest role might feel like a lackluster consolation prize.

 I was being serious though when I say wise girl. Build multi-character career or stay 'known' as one character for the rest of it. Look at SJ, her varied, contextualised career has gone now, it's BW all the way and very little else.

Well yeah, Emily’s career has turned out great, it’s true. Just saw Mary Poppins and she was fantastic in that, btw. But as a fan it’s impossible for me not to lament what could’ve been. ScarJo was a total miscast as BW, imo, and I feel like Blunt could’ve made that character far more memorable. Oh well.

Did you like the movie??

I recall reading a tweet saying that literally no one involved with production thought whatever they were doing was a bad idea and went all in with everything. Wan threw the kitchen sink in here and swung for the fences and WB backed him all the way. I LOVE this approach.

I thought it was fine.

I realized that if they released Jurassic Park today, some meathead on Youtube like Cinema Sins or the Nostalgia Critic would put out some video essay criticizing all the biological and scientific inaccuracies.

Zemeckis with another bomb. And some of you bald bastahs wanted him for Flash. The man lost his touch, no amount of Delorean time travel will bring it back.

I was away for a whole week and I only learned earlier today that Mourinho has been sacked as the ManUtd coach.

With all the talk of bad DC film rep affecting box office that always goes on in here, it turned out the bad rep from previous Transformers movie affected Bumblebee movie way more. With that RT score and all that, it should've easily open with 100m plus, but the fishman dominates.

I'm just so happy critics look like fools when time and time again they reflect the opposite opinion to the public

not to mention AMPAS' epic VFX fail lol

I almost spit out my drink at this. Dyin'.

With the exception of the lovely and classy @flickchick85 ...breh, who really was excited for Poppins? The 40 and over crowd? lol

If I had a kid, his ass is either goin' to make me sit through Aquaman, Bumblebee or Spidey. That is it.

lol

Early pages of Aquaman box office thread, it was me and @harlequinade who told ya'll Poppins was not going to compete with Aquaman or Bumblebee. I hope Blunt eventually does do a cbm role tho, but her Poppins can fly into the ocean with that mouse nostalgia cash grab. lol

I always bet on Jason. Never underestimate the women bringing box office power.

folks living in their own mindgames

average moviegoer poll (pick one):
-Star Wars-y thing with familiar character
-Iron Giant-y thing with familiar character

I hope Bumblebee does well enough overall, although I feel like it might be one of those that makes more noise on home release later.
