It appears that Captain Marvel is online, judging by tumblr gifs. That 'it's loading' moment with Science Guy's reaction filled with disbelief is still one of the funniest scenes this year

I'll be able to watch it soon. I hope it's more entertaining than that dull Ant-Man & Wasp movie, or other boring superhero movie. A superhero movie should not bore or frustrate me, I'm someone who enjoys Steel and Supergirl. More movies should entertain me.

Probably because of the Wan backing and it being written/co-created by the guy who wrote both IT movies and 4 Conjuring Universe films. Gave it a lot of leeway I would think

Also the budget may have been an issue. Didn't they cut the number of episodes ordered or something?

Either way, I'm really impressed with the practical effects work done with Swamp Thing himself.

Okay can someone set the record straight with me on Swamp Thing because that will dictate whether I watch the thing or not. Did they suddenly pull the plug on the show as they were filming or did they cut the budget and condense the show beforehand? Ive been looking forward to this show more than any DC show but if theyre gonna bull that same crap they pulled with Titans where im watching an incomplete season, im not down with that and can not support that.

Season 1 was cut from 13 episodes to 10 and they apparently rewrote the ending of the tenth ep to serve as a season finale.

I love that movie. It scared me, too. Some of those scenes in the swamp? The sequence when Dr. Arcane (is that his name?) turns into the monster and ST and Adrienne Barbeau are trying to escape... so tense for a kid.

They were going over budget so they cut a few episodes and rewrote the 10th episode to make it a season finale, when it was supposed to have 13. It's similar to what happened to Tom King's Batman run recently, it was supposed to go for 100 issues, but the higher-ups apparently didn't like it, so King was taken off the book after issue 85 and given a subsequent 12 issue Batman/Catwoman limited series to finish his story, meaning he would get an overall 97 issue run as opposed to 100, same way Swamp Thing gets 10 episodes instead of 13.

Thanks for the rundown man, okay that I can roll with. I mean, that still sucks that the budget forced them to cut it down but the reports were making it sound like the producers came onset in the middle of filming episode 11 and told everyone to drop what they were doing. lol

Even if its somewhat awkwardly paced, I would prefer the season end properly instead of what Titans did and end on what was obviously supposed to be the penultimate episode.

DCU original shows are filling in my DC entertainment needs from now on. Movies are secondary and CW shows are a forgotten memory. That’s how good it has been.

Okay, people is Doom Patrol REALLY that good? i saw the first episode and liked it but not enough to invest more time into it. But I keep hearing people talk about it like its DC's Daredevil. I have this sneaking suspicion the show just may not be of my particular tastes based on the first episode but I'm waiting for someone to sell it to me. lol

Yup. Best DC Adaptation ever done and as good as (perhaps better than) Daredevil.

Which is scary because this type of thing used to be right up my alley. I love me some big epic crazy action (see: Aquaman and Endgame) but this Godzilla movie seems like overkill to me and I cant put my finger on why.
