King is obviously a very divisive writer these days, but if his Mister Miracle run is of any indication, the guy sure knows how to write the New Gods. Darkseid is.

Good luck to her for just putting up with those d***heads that spam DC and WB constantly about the you know what.

It’s way, WAY better than LoT, though, imo. Like, I think it achieves the kind of wit and wackiness that LoT attempts so I get the comparison, but it’s in a whole other league in terms of quality.

Oh yeah, absolutely, no doubts about it.

I meant the comparison in the sense of their embrace of the wackiness and ridiculousness of it, as in they're in the same "family" more so than compared to other CB adaptations...but I feel they're more like "distant cousins", so to speak... I think Doom Patrol is at the same distance from LoT as it is from Legion, if that makes any sense.

I agree however the sad thing is I don't think this will ever go away until the WB makes an official statement on the matter (something they shouldn't have to do) or until most of the people calling for this get tired and give up. Either way I say the WB has no one to blame but themselves for this mess and it is us the fans that have to suffer and lose out on a great cast.

It's really sad, definitely; look, I'm probably the biggest Snyder fan around here, and a part of me will always hope for the Snyder cut to be released, but the way some people in the movement will constantly harass everyone with a vague connection to DC with the hashtag is pathetic.

As pathetic as Snyder detractors constantly bringing his name in things unrelated to him just to throw a jab at his fans.

Just 2 sides of a very sad coin.

That said, if the cut happens, it'll be in great part thanks to the movement since they wouldn't shut up about it, the squeaky wheel and all of that. Despite a few rotten apples, the movement's efforts towards suicide prevention and charities should be commended.

I'll give them credit for this they are using the same method as the people who were against a more serious DCEU. Remember those people were few in number but very vocal and I guess they are doing the same thing. But as I have said before the WB brought this on themselves they should've just put out Snyder's JL and let the people decide then move forward accordingly. This is a mess they created and a mess they need to fix.

In their meager defense though, a lot of whats perpetuating the movement too is people like Snyder who were involved with the movie who keep leaking tidbits about what was in it. That guy who played Ares came out a couple weeks and ago and revealed that the history lesson was much longer than what we saw and it just reignited everything all over again. Not to mention Zack himself is goading the fans on. So these people involved with the movie are encouraging this. And lets be honest, the geek bloggers and journalists are eating this up too. We saw what happened when Jason Mamoa was asked about it during the Aquaman press tour.

I dont think it will stop unless Zack himself tells the fans to stop.

I don't think it will stop until the WB releases an official statement which again is something they shouldn't have to do but they put themselves in this position and they need to fix it. And to think this all started when the main cast started talking about how upset they were that the other movie (Snyder's) wasn't coming out.

I haven't read King's MM run as of yet - I bought the digital copy recently and it's sitting in my queue - but I loved his work on Sheriff, Omega Men, Vision and Batman. His involvement in New Gods bumps it above Eternals in my anticipation ranking for adaptations of Kirby cosmic epics.

I'm a fan of Zack. I liked his approach. Flawed, but I still liked what he brought to the table. That said, these "fans" are one flew over the goddamn cuckoo nest. There's a difference between fandom, passion and downright psychotic.

They're psychotic and need major help. Going outside may help with that condition. Only if it is for 5 minutes.
