Just finished Doom Patrol.

Man, that last episode... I... I... I don't even know.

I don't know how I feel about the last episode, but I think I love it as much as the rest of the season.

Time for RP to hit the GYM!!!!

I wonder what physique they will go for?

Superbulk (unlikely) or slender and agile?

The era of R-BATZ has begun.
Seriously? Ooooohhhh maaaaaann. I wanted to watch Unbreakable, but now I might feel the need to watch Batman Begins instead.

I'll watch both movies anywa, I'll choose to save the better one for later, and proceed with watching Unbreakable now.

I need to watch Glass.

DC’s comic con panel this year should be an interesting one.

Welling is here in Ireland at the moment shooting a new TV show and I came across this pic of him and Hoechlin whilst reading about it, always curious to see two Superman actors pictured together. Would love to see all of them major ones - Routh/Welling/Hoechlin/Cavill/Cain - together at a convention sometime. Welling is a big dude, Hoechlin isn't exactly small but Welling's shoulders look huge next to him.

This badly needs a Brazzers logo :funny:

It's such an inspiring casting in my eyes. We have a fresh, new but familiar face to carry TDK into the next decade. Great all around for me. I can't wait to see what Reeves cooks up.

As for Superman...depressing.

Thing is, my friend, i just dont see a new Supes movie appearing on the horizon. DC’s got their hands full with other franchises: Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, Suicide Squad Birds of Prey, and of course the Bat to carry them into the next decade.

I want a new Cavill Superman movie more than anyone but WB doesnt need Superman any more.

i feel the same. sad, but probably true.

at least we will always have this superman though:

Yup. It's less a season finale and more a continuation. The show was so character focused that not having a traditional climax didn't matter as much to me. When you have a
giant rat
making out
with a
giant cockroach
tongue and all
everything is on the table and nothing is off.

I wonder if it's a coincidence that
Nile's daughter from the back looked like Dorothy

They don't need Batman either, but here we are.

WB logic

Nobody "needs" another billion dollar movie, but having it would be nice for sure, and Batman has at least a 60% chance of that happening, while Superman, sadly, not so much.

Sure, but the idea that a Batman is an automatic billion, nobody thought that before TDK. And Batman was in two of the three movies that Superman has been criticized for, and got the primary screen time in the 2 least well received. It's not about probability but about how well it's done and how well it's marketed. It's not craps.

Point being, it's not just the character but how he is handled. You get a great creative person like Nolan on Batman and of course it's going to do well. You get a great creative person like Vaughn on Superman and it's going to make a lot of money as well. It's just that WB is shortsighted and think Batman and Batman alone is worthy.

I actually feel like Hoult can be a good Superman. Put him through the same Cavill gym routine and he be set.

That New Gods movie has flop written all over it

I guess this is DC’s stab at “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Orion being Star Lord, and we get a cameo appearance from Darkseid. Doesnt sound appealing to me but hey, then again, I woulda told you 5 years ago GoTG was gonna flop too so who knows lol

I think we're in an age where the notoriety of the comic property means very little. I keep saying this to folks on the Marvel forums who keep insisting the MCU is gonna fall off a cliff because they're not immediately making a new Fantastic Four movie. How big a property is in the comic books just doesn't matter when most of these characters are effectively brand new to the theater going audience.

Do you think even a few years ago people would've believed Aquaman was gonna be significantly more popular at the box office than other properties deemed "A-list" by comic fans?

My pov from following these characters here is that Superman fans still believe he is the best character ever., but they seem like a bunch of Bald men who is stuck in the past. B and C level characters like Iron Man and Thor are far more important than Supes now, surely been true for the last decade or so. We can run around in circles and talk about what could have been with Vaughn or McQuarrie, but neither of them have officially driven their asses to WB lot and pitched, tis' the goddamn truth.

I suppose they can pull up with a truck filled with cash right into JJ's front porch and see what happens.

I had a list of actors which I thought would never be in a cbm and now only one remains on that list.

Gosling is the only one left!

Phoenix
Jake
Pattinson

Superman is still a pretty resilient property. He's survived bad movies and a 19 year disappearance from the big screen and people have been willing to give him a chance time and again. You can be a "B" level Superhero now and be very successful but we'll see how some of those characters endure in the long haul after suffering their own inevitable big screen failures.

Well, it sure looks like even in his own home, he is down on the pecking order but just above Cyborg.

Gosling would be a wicked Mad Hatter.

Hoult as Superman.
Gosling as Lex.
