There were some things I liked. I thought he handled the action scenes alright. But yeah...this is one hell of a directorial debut after writing, lol. It's not quite as bad Goyer on Blade: Trinity, but that example immediately came to mind.
.

Trinity did give us the greatest insult of all time. "Cock juggling thunder ****"

Goddamn it's been 16 years and when watching Reloaded last night I still didn't understand the whole Smith gets out of the Matrix nonsense

Today is Revolutions day which makes even less sense

Monica Bellucci is almost 60 and I would still want to get her pregnant and just try to be happy, but her italian jealousy would not doubt cut off my boys, but I've had a good run.

Monica Bellucci is the peak female sensuality/beauty, that's just a fact. She's the queen of the universe. :hmr:

I just saw Gravity for the first time. Man, that was awesome! It's funny that despite hearing his name praised a lot, I never gave much thought to him or if I've actually seen any of his movies before watching Roma (still one of the most beautiful pieces of cinema I've ever seen), but between this, Children of Men, Prisoner of Azkaban, Great Expectations and Y tu mamá también (which I saw when it first came out and was a complete cultural moment in Latin America) I must definitely put him in that selected list of "visual magicians" I keep close to my heart. :ilv:

Certainly anticipating whatever he does next.

I unfortunately got spoiled to a moment/scene that happens in 'The Lighthouse', but it is out of context, so it doesn't make sense. It is still a wtf moment that I can't wait to watch. Sweet lawd. lol

I can't wait for The Lighthouse to make it over here.

gravity was a great movie!

children of men = also really good
prison of azkaban = probably the best harry potter movie to me (i'm not really a fan of the HP franchise though).

Really is a shame.

I hope we find out who to point the finger at, and I really feel like it’s probably WB. Clerical error my butt.

I really don't care about HP but the missus does, so she made me watch the movies, that one certainly stood out.

What for?? What good does that do other than to perpetuate the endless cycle of online negativity which snowballs into downright harassment and which is frankly born out of fandom's complete lack of understanding of what the process of developing a property really ensues??

Here's a crazy idea people; so the show was cancelled after 10 episodes?? How about instead of swearing off those, based on the fact that they won't make more...I dunno, enjoy the 10 hours of content that exist?? Is that crazy??

Or maybe the "reason" for the outrage is never really what's claimed to be, and instead it's just lots of misplaced raged looking for a escape goat...

They ran out of money. On shoot location woes regarding some tax thing and they even built those swamp sets out of scratch.

But they cancelled a show people were raving about after its PREMIERE episode. They owe people an explanation for that. Any way you dice it its pure incompetence on DC’s side to promote and hype up something and then take it away without valid reason.

DCU's marketing team possibly couldn't know WB/AT&T decided to kill the show all of a sudden...

I plan on enjoying these 10 episodes just fine. It’s just become a sad trend with WB and how I’m always fearing that something is about to go wrong just when it seems like they’ve righted their ship. Doom Patrol and Titans better be safe regardless of what happens with the app, or then it’ll really get ugly.

If it was sold as a mini series from the start, then it’d be just fine. Plus we also don’t know how the show ends, so if it wraps up nicely then I don’t mind as well.

But it did seem like they had every intention of continuing, plus the rumors of WB high ups wanting more of a weekly procedural instead of the show we’re getting is potentially upsetting news.

And to the point of perpetual negativity and online abuse, I’ll be the first to agree with you there, but in my defense I’m not gonna go to the lengths that some crazies will to get my point across. It just sucks and I think they’re making a mistake by not trying to explore other options in continuing the show. Me voicing my displeasure on an Internet message board is quite literally the farthest extent that I’m willing to go, Lol.

I dont understand it though. Why announce the cancellation NOW though? Or why release the damn show at all? This reeks of shady pettiness behind the scenes between execs.

Do not give us (specifically @Tra-El) hope

But surely if WB can nail down JJ, a DC property is surely in the cards

Unless he chooses Harry Potter or LOTR reboot over DC

No worries my friend. I have zero expectations at this point and moved on from any type of getting the hopes up. If anything were to happen these next few years, God willing, I'll be here and I'll be ready.

I get your points, really do; I guess I'm just over it, the whole getting upset over things I have no control of... new shows and movies pop up all the time and I just try to consume what seems appealing to me.

It just seems like such a massive waste of energy to get upset over these things, honestly... but of course I won't be the idiot telling people in a message board not to discuss things and vent out... :O

Speaking of...Warrior!!! Guys, if you haven't seen that show, check it out, just finished the first season and couldn't love the show more, I'm pretty sure Feige is looking at Andrew Koji for their Shang-Chi movie.

Just watched Superman IV: The Quest for Peace in full for the first time. Honestly, the thing that bugged me most was Chris Reeve's hair piece. WHY was he wearing one? It wasn't like with Sean Connery - he still had hair. Was he just sick of dying it black? It was very poorly attached to his head and hella distracting.

Yeah I was well-prepared for all the other stuff. :funny:

Real talk, though, I was sitting there thinking, "this isn't as bad as I expected" for a good portion of it up until Nuclear Man showed up - and then I was torn between finding it ridiculous that the main villain didn't show up until an hour into a 90-minute film, or wishing that he'd never shown up at all.

From Wikipedia:

Reeve suffered from asthma and allergies since childhood. At age 16, he began to suffer from alopecia areata, a condition that causes patches of hair to fall out from an otherwise healthy head of hair. Generally, he was able to comb it over and often the problem disappeared for long periods. Regarding this condition of Reeve's and his appearances in the Superman films, "[he] dyed his hair black to emulate the look of the Man of Steel for Superman: The Movie and Superman II. However, rather than going that route in Superman IIIand Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, [he] wore a wig".
