Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I just never got 2 1/2 men.

Now, My Two Dads or 3 Men and a Baby, that's something else.

I hope JJ still has a dc movie up his sleeve

Streaming shows for JLD should still be good, hopefully Keanu reprises his role there

I dont care what anyone says the Sheen years of Two and a Half Men are some of the funniest sitcom TV ive ever watched. Its one of those shows where the whole cast is funny and have great comedic timing. Yes, the jokes are lewd but Sheen, Cryer and the cast deliver the jokes so impeccably well.

So true man.

From Charlie, Alan and Jake to Berta, Evelyn, Rose etc, the cast was stacked and their chemistry was off the charts. I miss the old Two and A Half Men.

I reckon he’ll either do the next Superman or as I’ve speculated elsewhere I think they’re gonna reboot the whole DCU down the line with a JL movie likely after Mamoa & Gadot are done.

Although I will admit with Abrams I did love his Superman script although most of his ideas have been used now it was still a very interesting movie.

The last thing I liked from Abrams was the first Star Trek movie. After that he has pretty much become the king of remakes. Where he just remakes a movie and adds his own little twist to it.

i reckon he'll do exactly that with Superman if that's where he's going.

The first Bayformers is so f**king amazing. I think it just went up several notches nao that I have seen it again. It's a great blockbuster action movie that has it all. Even Bay detractors must acknowledge that the first one is good even with the chaotic action and cluttered NBE designs and all other baggages.

A few things to note, Sam's parent are probably one of the coolest movie parents of all time and the score by Steve Jablonsky is very, very under-rated.

I'm probably incapable of disliking any movie in the Skywalker saga. I like all of them.

TFA may be a very un-subtle retread of ANH but it is still a very good homage. It did what it did really well and I love the movie. I liked both TLJ and TROS (don't love them and not in a hurry to re-watch 'em soon). But I wouldn't blame Abrams for the shortcomings of TROS. He was appointed to salvage the franchise after Ruin Johnson stranded them in the middle of nowhere (from Disney & LFL's pov). Disney wanted to apologize for TLJ and Abrams was easily the safest choice to bring closure to the ST.

Also, Chris Terrio was not the right person to write the movie. How he got the job after BvS is a mystery. I can understand some other movie but how does he get the finale of the Skywalker saga. I literally have no idea what Disney, LFL, Abrams saw in the guy to rope him in to write TROS. It's like the Disney wanted to sabotage their own movie. That was a big mistake. Leave the dude to work on smaller movies. That's his wheelhouse.

I think people forget how genuinely awesome the first Transformers is because the sequels are so bad. I think the first Transformers and Bumblebee are genuinely good, action blockbusters.

I like the sequels tho! I'm a Bayformers fan through and through.

My list is TF1>>TF4=TF2>>>TF2>>>>>TF5

I'm doing a Bayformers marathon to see how TF3 & TF5 holds up. Those two are the weakest ones to me but I want to re-evaluate both. But I definitely agree that TF1 & Bumblebee are very good action blockbusters and yeah, the sequels taint the legacy of TF1 which was a genuinely good attempt to bring Transformers to the big screen.

Ironically ST 09 is basically ANH as well :hehe: but I still love that movie. I guess because I never got into classic Star Trek for whatever reason. I've never seen any of the shows but I have seen the TMP and Wrath of Khan, and loved them.

The first Transformers was my Jurassic Park. I had never seen anything like it before.

I still kind of have a soft spot for parts of Revenge of The Fallen. By the time DOTM came out I was losing interest due to the actual quality of the movies.

Wow, that's some high praise for TF1 :wowe:

It was also the same for me, seen nothing like that before. TF1 should have won the special effects oscar over Polar Express. That was a daylight robbery. Elitist Hollywoods snobs hating on my man Bay's brilliant work.

It's a shame that you lost interest in the sequels.

I love Bay's work. The sequels are even more filled with Bayhem. Pure, unfiltered Bayhem. So yeah, his worst instincts are dialed up to 11 in these but I love them so much.

This Bayformers appreciation makes me very happy. Good to know that I'm not alone!

Bayformers 2 done and it's still so, so good.

One of the best, happiest moments of my life as a kid was when I saw Optimus Prime merge with Jetfire on Transformers Armada on tv. I'm very happy to say that the movie version doesn't disappoint. It took me back to my childhood. Bravo, Michael Bay.

Yeah I mean there was genuine wonder in that first film, seeing these big robots fighting it out! I loved it.

And well I do enjoy the Bayhem in the sequels (haven't seen TLK yet) but Sam just got too annoying by DOTM. Although he was probably worse in ROTF... :hehe:
