Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Agreed, but ultimately, I'm just happy to have some new Superman content on the horizon. Especially featuring a take on Superman I already know I like, because being in limbo there for the last couple years with nothing to look forward to as a Supes fan was...not a good feeling.

I can get behind that! \S/

I want you guys to screenshot and save this post because I’m calling it now. I think in...3-4 years Berlanti is going to produce a full on Justice League TV show. Whether it’ll be on the CW, HBO Max, Cinemax... I dont know, but I’m betting the farm that thats Berlanti’s Endgame and that will be our live action re-do of the JL. Heard it here first.

if it's a bigger, better version of what they are currently doing with titans, than i say that is not a bad way to go for JL then.

I guess this cover predicted it all. lol

just read a rumor supposedly they tryin to get james wan and zack snyder to do some dc related stuff for hbo max.
sc following will rejoice.
snyder haters will be like darth vader at end of revenge of the sith: NOOooOOOOOooO!

jj abrams expected to oversee some dc shows on hbo max too.

i'm reading all this off my instagram right now. lol

Eh, I might be old fashion when it comes to tv v film type, but these announcements only tells me that both GL and Supes won't be on film for a VERY LONG time. That is a bummer.

Well, at least some of ya'll will still get to see a version of them and plenty of content.

Hell, I think if a GL shows up on film it will now be John and not Hal. WB will continue to invest heavily on Batman and his world of characters after JOKER, watch Margot have her own trilogy down the line and Supes still stuck with that Walmart halloween costume on the cw. lawd.

It was apparently from the guy who earlier this year told everyone that he heard that Matt Reeves had been fired off Batman and that Ben Affleck had regained command of the project, right before Pattinson was announced.

So the original score to JL by Junkie XL was complete. Another sad revelation in the ongoing saga about how complete JL truly was.

Honestly, these days I prefer TV over film. Marvel films were basically just TV on the big screen to me. Only thing movies have over TV is budgets, but that's changing rapidly, and I prefer my storytelling in the long form over short form. CGI spectacle just doesn't have that "wow factor" for me like it used to, and I'd rather spend more time with these superheroes in their everyday lives really digging in and exploring their characters in ways you can't do in a mere 2-hour span, so if I can get superheroes on TV with decent budgets, then I'll take that over films any day. Unless it's a unique cinematic experience like The Lighthouse, movies just aren't "events" for me like they used to be. Maybe it's me getting old, or maybe it's the changing landscape, IDK. But I hope Watchmen and this new Green Lantern are kicking off expanding budgets and ambitions for DC superhero TV properties, because I'd rather get an epic DC Universe on TV, with expanded scope in terms of character and world-building, than an epic DC Universe in the movies, with yet another version of the big 3rd-act spectacle.

They're calling Green Lantern the biggest DC show ever

I hope that Superman mini-series scoop is more legit than ever

Every comic book property, truly done justice, is better at TV than film. Doesn't mean a longer story is better than a condensed one.

Keep seeing ads for that new Apple+ show with Jason Momoa, and I gotta say, it looks like really expensive trash.

So...what happened to Green Lantern Corps movie? Is DCEU going forward minus Batman, Superman and Green Lantern ?

Is JJ Abrams doing to direct any content for HBO max ? And, I would have preferred JJ producing a GL series than Greg Berlanti.

Last I heard about the movie was that Geoff Johns was hired to write a new draft of the script. I don't think there's been any updates since then.

I do wonder if they will put the DCEU WW, AM, Flash, Shazam, Reeves Bat, HBO GLC, HBO mini series Sup, and a MM or Cyborg into one film, that would be a big crossover that could work because HBO quality is on par with actual films.

Saves them doing a film franchise for lesser characters with all the risk involved.

Best news is we have upgraded from having characters not Bat having their shows on CW now they could be on HBO quality instead, Blue Beetles, Booster Gold etc, don't need them to take movie slots but they could have HBO shows. Sup missed the boat though, lol, hope he does get that mini series

But, Green Lantern is best suited for big screen format, space action scenes and all that. It's like relegating Star Wars to TV Only format.

Had they announced a Blue Beetle and Booster Gold series for HBO Max I wouldn't be as disappointed as I'm now.

Considering that I already know from reviews that he 1. is shirtless in this 2. fist fights a bear 3. plays a dad and holds babies I can already guarantee all of you that I sat through worse for less lol

I really hope they put Superman on HBO Max I do not want to see another CW Superman show again. To be honest I really hope all the DC Heroes go to HBO Max and just start the DCEU over there and have the Justice League team ups be the mini series.

The ship has sailed on that front. If this is successful they'll undoubtedly introduce more characters but restarting the entire DCEU is not gonna happen.

As long as people love Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam, Harley Quinn and Suicide Squad theres no reason to restart the DCEU anytime this decade lol

Why reboot it ? Introduce the Multiverse & simply designate each DC movie a different Earth

Hey O
