I have a lot of time for Superman Returns - was actually watching it on the weekend. But I remember being in the cinema opening night and thinking all the way through - 'they're not making the kid his, are they?' Then he threw the piano across the room. I actually face planted!

Yup. Those forums went from years of "Batman must be really fit, Bale wasn't fit enough in Begins" etc to "My gaaash, why are you obsessing about Pattinsons weight! its perfectly fine with a lanky Batman!"

I can say honestly I don't care how muscular Batman is because that doesn't really affect whether or not I find the movie good. There was no point in the Dark Knight where I thought to myself "Wow, this story is riveting, but I can't get into it because Christian Bale doesn't look like he's been training with Cro Cop."
