Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Star Citizen

I'm not a gamer, but somehow ended up going this rabbit hole, but a very brief one I couldn't stop laughing. So this guy created a concept for a pc game, online community and whatnot, raises 100s of millions of dollars, 10 or so years later, the game ain't even close to being finished and MORE fan funding keeps coming in. I had to stop reading after some bald bastah wasted over 20 thousand on spaceships, which ain't even close to being finished.

Volcano 1997

Felt like watching a fun, feel good blockbuster tonight. This was a disaster flick from the 90s that passed me by. Holy moly this movie’s bad. But its bad in a fun way. The script, the dialogue, the story logic is all absolutely cheesy, nonsensical and ridiculous. But this is a good crack a beer, switch your brain off, saturday night B movie.

All I remember about that movie was marveling that someone behind the scenes actually seemed to believe a pairing like Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche would have chemistry. :hehe:

The Dante's Peak pairing of Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton seemed inspired by comparison. The 90's cracked me up with these weirdly specific dueling disaster movies that came out around the same time. Dueling volcano movies, dueling asteroid movies, dueling alien invasion movies. Good times.

I havent seen Dantes Peak either. Worth it? You know.....in a bad fun B movie kind of way. Lmao

Oh yes, it's definitely bad in a great B-movie way, but also a bit more dreary and depressing than Volcano. Put it this way: Volcano was a bad summer disaster flick, Dante's Peak was a bad February disaster flick. :hehe:

Henry Cavill gave them 20k?

That Giuliani scene in Borat II is all kinds of yikes. I took a quick glance at what twitter folks were saying, one tweet about he was only tucking in his shirt. The blind stares of a million pairs of eyes.

lol giulani knew what he was doing. can tell he's a seasoned pro.

yes, there's a bit of entrapment going on. but then again, he does work for the president and public officials like this need to be held to a higher standard.

it's hilarious how easy he fell for that bait though.
rudy really thought he hit the jackpot. hahaahahha

A good example of what a vaporware is. You have to understand that, when it comes to video game development, there's no "PC entity" that can fund a PC-only game with AAA budget ($100M and up). That's why the creator went with crowdfunding.

Damn shame, because when this was first revealed (a year before PS4/XB1 released), it showed what a game fully using PC hardware can do.

And it has a star-studded cast too including Mark Hamill... Lawd.

Gotta love Arnie getting top billing over Clooney.

Well he was, in some cool twisted way, the heart of the story.lol

I was more peeved on how they ditched Batgirl's traditional mask in favor of a domino version. From what I had heard, it was because they wanted Alicia's face to be more recognizable.

Honestly, I'm never a fan whenever an actor's appearance takes priority over the source material. It's one of the reasons why I can't stand Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal as Mystique in "Apocalypses" and "Dark Phoenix".

Something about the helmet is throwing me off. It looks kinda...big, I think. Other than that though I like what they've done here.

Yeah helmet does seem big. Though I am glad the stupid mouth is not on it.

Were they not allowed to use Joker? Not even for 1 scene of him beating on Jason?
