Alfred Molina coming back kinda cheapens Spiderman2 for me now. Molina gave one of the best villain performances of the modern cbm era, such a tragic ending to his character but a remarkable one at that. I mean, how you going to finally get Gyllenhal in a cbm role, and still waste him? I'm happy for Garfield tho. Felt like he was a great Spidey stuck in subpar flicks. Eh. still can't like Holland in the role tho. Spidey is my second favorite cb character and his performance and movies make me go meh.

At this point, I would not be surprised if Christopher Nolan loves Roland Emmerich films as well.

At first, I was kind of surprised to hear Nolan is a big fan of the F&F movies but it's clear he's down for any spectacle, even if it lacks a good story. I haven't had any interest in any of them but Hobbs and Shaw looked like a stupid, good time so I rented it and wasn't disappointed.

I think Nolan definitely respects action and spectacle, thats been a component in a lot of his movies. Lowkey, the third act set piece of Dark Knight Rises is really underrated, such a riveting climax.

That’s a good point. I wrestle constantly with DKR because for some reason, I felt the stakes were higher in Dark Knight with the ferries and the tension between Dent, Gordon and Batman even though a nuclear bomb was the threat in the finale.

It doesn’t help that DKR has one of the worst death scenes from Talia and Bane coming off more as a henchmen for her at the end. It’s still good, just seemed like Nolan was done with it and painted by the numbers a tad. Just something funny too, I saw a clip of Marion Cotillard where she seemed to imply that she was embarrassed of a take a director used and I feel like it’s the Talia death. All subjective of course.

It shouldn't feel that way, what's good should still be considered good regardless of crap succeeding it, especially if it's something that comes out decades later and lacked the value the original had since the new thing first arrived.

Oh Lord. I just got my copy but I’m in the Land of Slow Internet through the New Year...I may not actually get to play this game ‘til next week, lol.

yeah i played about an hour of cyberpunk so far. Its alright, I guess. I'm on PS4 and its not glitchy like everyone has been experiencing, but nothing has blown me away yet either.
