Lounge of Justice - Part 90

You know, just sayin’, wouldnt be a bad idea to put together a teaser sizzle roll for next week showing footage of some of the stuff coming on Max. New Snyder cut trailer, Godzilla vs Kong, Mortal Kombat etc.

RIP Deebo.

Always felt like he never really got better serious roles because of his look and size, but he was great in The Fifth Element and TDK. A classic pop genre character in Deebo.

I also came upon some vintage Rayban Aviator sunglasses from a garage sale. I don't think the guy knew what he had cause they were mine for 20 dollars. Based on the # tis' an early 70s model.

This whole situation with filmakers/actors and HBOMax just looks like a bunch of millionaires getting pissed off because they won’t get more money after they’ve already been paid to do their job.

I’ll take a 4K laser projector and an ATMOS surround sound system over the theatre experience.

I usually don't like listening to movie music prior to the movie. It's in the context of the movie that it comes alive for me. What can I say, I'm a simple man.

Disney has moved the release date for Gal's Death on Nile from Dec 2020 to Sept 2021. This is how you avoid pissing off directors and audiences.

WB should have moved WW84 to sometime after Summer 2021 too.

Disagree. The longer they sit on the movies the more they have to make to be profitable. Movies released directly to theaters next year won’t do well imo. What Warner’s needs to focus on is world wide rollout to get their subscriber numbers up. They’ll kill it if they do. Theaters are not going to be viable world wide next year. Period.

I have lost respect for Nolan after his rants and tantrums over him not getting enough thru back-end deals on TENET, and his inability to take into account the pandemic situation and offering audiences a safer alternative (streaming), even when his movie was already released in Theaters as per his wishes.

Neither company has the best interest of theaters at heart. Both are very much thinking streaming is the future. It just so happens that Disney is in a much more advantageous position since Disney+ has a ton of subscribers and had enough of a head start that they actually were able to nail down high profile content like their MCU shows to air in the coming months.

As opposed to WB, who took this drastic move because they have nothing so far or in the near future that was gonna drive subscriptions on that level. Green Lantern and that Batman spin-off are still a year away.

I give it a couple more years until Disney buys WB/DC. :o

It's genuinely not outside the realm of possibility. They put in a bid for it a few years ago. If AT&T continues to **** up and drive down the value of the company far enough before giving up, I would fully expect Disney to be one of the top prospective buyers again.

He actually though people would show up in droves for his movie. Even somebody like Cameron is probably level-headed enough to understand that it's not happening right now.

It's clear WB put out this hit piece on Nolan after his comments.

AMC : "we are not going to last without new theatrical releases"

WarnerMedia announces plan of holding simultaneous release (theaters and HBO Max) of entire 2021 movie slate.

AMC: :This move by Warner will lead to Theater closures"

Meanwhile Disney quietly pushed back it's entire 2022 Marvel slate further.

AMC: *No comment on Disney's move*

Dailymail stated the Snyder cut releases September 5, 2021 in their article about Whedon. I hope that’s not true. That’s a loooooong way.

Yeah... there is no way that's true. It's been confirmed that it's coming in a few months and September 2021 is not even remotely 'a few months' away.
