I'd pay top dollar to see Superman crash land on a would be child predator or wife beater, etc and intimidate the entire living **** out of them and put them in their place and threaten them to the core of their living being. That's when Superman is at his best: fighting for people who can't fight for themselves. Champion of the oppressed. Superman is the ultimate big brother. WB should use him that way.

also i like how superman couldn't fly back then.

A throw like that from the mighty alien is gonna crash the guy's spine into a million pieces, causes the walls to collapse, the entire building to fall, and everyone including women and babies to die, because of Superman.

*sorry I'm just using the special Sups nitpick hat that I learnt from others over the last few years and applying it irrationally =P

I have only seen it once, never bothered with the Extended Cut or whatever the home video version is called.

I once again will say Green Lantern was alright movie main villain aside. I just don't think it deserves the hate it gets. I think a sequel could've ironed out a lot of people's issues.

pete sarsgaard is a good actor but his villian was stupid looking, that probably was one of the things that hurt it

Overall it's just another lackluster comic book movie. Nothing more, nothing less. We've seen that countless times before. But the fact that it bombed so bad and Reynolds assuming it's still funny to keep mocking it almost a decade after the fact, managed to give many people the notion that it's somehow worse than other bad comic book movies.

Can’t really blame Reynolds for not getting over a movie that ruined his career for a time and that also set the foundation for his marriage. That movie is part of his life forever, for better and for worse.

Eh, it ain't like he was making top choices prior to GL tho. He had a full run where if it were a black/latino breh with his bombs they be over, but I still like him as an actor. Also, I'd take that career bomb for Blake Lively. AND, if my memory is right, he was also going home to Scarjo, so no sympathy from me. He is on a first ballot hnnngh HOF.

Yeah there wasn't much to ruin about Reynolds' career when GL came around. He was famous, sure, but it was mostly for rom-com crap.
