If you're a Superman fan, Routh is 110% worth it. Nothing else really matters on the show. He's a man amongst children.

Though people should brace themselves for the third episode. They really spit at Superman and his fans in that one.

And yeah, Tyler got overshadowed big time by Routh and Welling. I don't know if Tyler is going to be able to recover from this one. He constantly gets overshadowed by someone every time he shows up.

Okay, I love this movie, but c'mon, haha.

I will say, there are plenty of aspects of the movie that hit me emotionally rather than intellectually, such as how the fight scene ended, and yes, that includes the Martha moment (best part of the movie for me). And sure, I could articulate after the fact why I loved it, but in the moment, I was just into it. In fact, the reason I love the movie, yeah, sure there's all the nuances and psychological elements, but it's what it does emotionally for me.

This. All of the discussion-worthy stuff aside, I just enjoyed my experience at the theater. The feeling I got walking out of the UE is hard to explain. Few movies get to me like that. I had a lot of fun that day.

the scope, ambition and world building in the UE was very good.
the TC was awful because it neutered a lot of that.
